Rejecting his response because: First, [redacted] is admitting he knew about our freight policy in stating that he has tried to get them waived or reduced in the past Also, per our previous attachment you can see where it is in big bold letters that customer is responsible for all applicable freight charges The freight was only $per box and if we had to estimate the freight I would have estimated $per box We do not estimate the freight, because we don't know how much it will be and only want to charge the customer exactly what we are charged That way the customer is not paying more than is charged to us

The customer knew there was freight. It plainly state on the estimate he got. Also this was not the first time he ordered these lights. I went back to the first time he ordered and there was freight on those also. I am sending you the estimate that he got.

I am rejecting this response because: Broadway Showroom was aware that the freight was excessiveWhen I picked up the lights and offered to pay the bill, they said they had to research freight chargesWhen they called with the final bill including freight, I commented that $for UPS ground freight seemed excessiveThe Broadway person who called me agreed that freight charges were high and offered to research the reasonNow Broadway is changing it's tune saying $for a single box shipped UPS ground is a great dealShame on you Broadway showroomAs I said in my prior response, I do not expect a refundWhat Broadway Showroom can expect is my comments to any other person considering using their services that their business practices are deceptiveSince I am over 65, their practices constitute senior discrimination.

I am rejecting this response because: if there is a substantial additional charge for freight, and Broadway Showroom knew there was a substantial additional charge for freight for this specific supplier, they have a responsibility to provide an estimate of freight charges so that a customer can make an informed buying decisionSmall print at the bottom of their invoice that applies to some suppliers and not to others is not a good response.Broadway Showroom is correct, we purchased lights from them years agoI don't remember the exact outcome of the first purchase, but I think ***, the sales person on the initial sale either waived or reduced the freight charge after we complainedHave any other customers complained about surprise charges with Broadway Showroom? I do not expect a refundI have made a decision not to purchase from Broadway in the future, and given the opportunity to educate other prospective clients, I will advise them to seek another supplier for lighting products

Rejecting his response because: First, [redacted] is admitting he knew about our freight policy in stating that he has tried to get them waived or reduced in the past.  Also, per our previous attachment you can see where it is in big bold letters that customer is responsible for all applicable freight charges.  The freight was only $22.72 per box and if we had to estimate the freight I would have estimated $25 per box.  We do not estimate the freight, because we don't know how much it will be and only want to charge the customer exactly what we are charged.  That way the customer is not paying more than is charged to us.
