The owner of the company was my real estate agent, [redacted] ***Over the course of the transaction he was very rude to me, would not work on my behalf and went on Holiday when my transaction was in danger of falling apartFinally he did not even attend my walkthrough of the sale of the home and purchase, I was concerned why he would not attend if there was an issue that needed to be corrected before spending significant money [redacted] is not a good customer service person, I would not endorse him nor would I work with him againThis business should be looked at closely before anyone would do business with ***

I represented Mr [redacted] in the sale of his condo at [redacted] in [redacted] My office has been in the same complex as his condo and I have been doing business here for years.I offered him a discounted commission rate of 4% (to be split between myself and the agent representing the buyer) instead of 5% which amounted to a savings of $11, Mr[redacted] asked if I would also assist him in finding a house down on [redacted] ***, and so I set up multiple days of viewing several houses He canceled on me last minute on two occasions, wasting multiple days of my time, but I did not complain and then on the third attempt we went down and he liked one of the houses we viewed and so I drafted up an offer and after a bit of back and forth we had the property under agreement We did have to put in a contingency in the offer that he would be given weeks to sell his condo in [redacted] We moved quickly to get the property ready and had it professionally photographed and after the first open house we received an offer for $30,less than the list price of $1,150, I suggested that he counter the offer by going back at $10,below the list price in the interest of keeping the negotiations going, but he did not like that idea and told me to go back to them firm at the list price The potential buyer thought that was unreasonable and got a bad taste in their mouths and decided to move on to a different property Fast forward a week and Mr [redacted] was becoming a bit desperate as he knew that if we did not line up a buyer he would risk losing the property in [redacted] ( [redacted] ***) After the next open house, we received another offer but this one was for significantly lower Realizing that he had probably made a mistake the week before he did negotiate with this offer and he ended up accepting an offer almost $50,less than the one he had rejected the week before I fealt bad for his situation and so I told him I would discount my commission further by reducing it an additional $ Then about a week later he says that he wants me to give him some of the money from the commission I was to get from the seller on the [redacted] transaction I respectfully told him that I had already given him a very substantial discount and if he had taken my advice with the first offer he would have been selling for almost $50,more He did not push the issue further Fast forward a few weeks and the closing on both properties was scheduled to take place Without much notice the buyer of his condo requested a week extension because he had not received his commitment for his loan At this point in time I was traveling with my wife and children to a fairly isolated area in Canada, but my business partner Lindsay Smith had been briefed on everything, and I was still in contact with my iphoneNow this clearly was a big deal because it was going to impact his purchase date as well because he needed the proceeds from his sale in order to consummate the purchase on the [redacted] house We then found out that the buyers agent had misrepresented the terms of his financing contingency At this point Mr [redacted] could have killed the transaction but he really wanted the [redacted] house and so he reluctantly agreed to give the buyer the week extension and asked for a one week extension on the [redacted] purchase well Everyone agreed and so it was postponed a week Then a few days later Mr [redacted] reached out to me to pay him an additional $5,to help out with the over $10,worth of expenses he claimed this one week extension was costing him I told him that at this point I had given all that I could, but then after a few more back and forths I offerred to pay the bill for the painter that had painted his condo before we listed which amounted to $1, So at this point I had negotiated $18,off of the commission More than on any other transaction I have been involved with in my years as a real estate agent Mr [redacted] did not find this offer acceptable and then began to be extremely rude and threatened to take other action against me It got to the point where I was no longer comfortable to be around him and so I told him I would not be attending the final walk through with him I own the business where I work and I emply other agents I take this sort of thing very seriously Mr [redacted] was the most difficult and abusive client I have had in all of my years doing this I am truly sorry that he was unhappy with his experience with my company but if I had it to do all over again I would not have offerred all of those discounts if I knew it would just get me having to reply to a complaint like this I am available to discuss this further by phone if that is easier at [redacted] Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***Please add your rejection comments belowThe realtor failed to mention he did not represent me at the closing nor at the walkthrough a period of time that is where a real estate agent is needed the most. The realtor is not giving you the true facts of the case, he did not offer to make discounts, it was only after my attorney talked with him and we requested further discounts did he reject our offers and did not provide any discounts on the sale or purchase of the home other than what was agreed to in the P/S on both homes. Respectfully*** *** Regards,

I represented Mr. [redacted] in the sale of his condo at [redacted] in [redacted].  My office has been in the same complex as his condo and I have been doing business here for 14 years.I offered him a discounted commission rate of 4% (to be split between myself and the agent representing the...

buyer) instead of 5% which amounted to a savings of $11,500.    Mr.[redacted] asked if I would also assist him in finding a house down on [redacted], and so I set up multiple days of viewing several houses.  He canceled on me last minute on two occasions, wasting multiple days of my time, but I did not complain and then on the third attempt we went down and he liked one of the 9 houses we viewed and so I drafted up an offer and after a bit of back and forth we had the property under agreement.  We did have to put in a contingency in the offer that he would be given 2 weeks to sell his condo in [redacted].  We moved quickly to get the property ready and had it professionally photographed and after the first open house we received an offer for $30,000 less than the list price of $1,150,000.  I suggested that he counter the offer by going back at $10,000 below the list price in the interest of keeping the negotiations going, but he did not like that idea and told me to go back to them firm at the list price.  The potential buyer thought that was unreasonable and got a bad taste in their mouths and decided to move on to a different property.  Fast forward a week and Mr [redacted] was becoming a bit desperate as he knew that if we did not line up a buyer he would risk losing the property in [redacted]).  After the next open house, we received another offer but this one was for significantly lower.  Realizing that he had probably made a mistake the week before he did negotiate with this offer and he ended up accepting an offer almost $50,000 less than the one he had rejected the week before.  I fealt bad for his situation and so I told him I would discount my commission further by reducing it an additional $5750.  Then about a week later he says that he wants me to give him some of the money from the commission I was to get from the seller on the [redacted] transaction.  I respectfully told him that I had already given him a very substantial discount and if he had taken my advice with the first offer he would have been selling for almost $50,00 more.  He did not push the issue further.  Fast forward a few weeks and the closing on both properties was scheduled to take place.  Without much notice the buyer of his condo requested a 1 week extension because he had not received his commitment for his loan.  At this point in time I was traveling with my wife and children to a fairly isolated area in Canada, but my business partner Lindsay Smith had been briefed on everything, and I was still in contact with my iphone. Now this clearly was a big deal because it was going to impact his purchase date as well because he needed the proceeds from his sale in order to consummate the purchase on the [redacted] house.  We then found out that the buyers agent had misrepresented the terms of his financing contingency.  At this point Mr [redacted] could have killed the transaction but he really wanted the [redacted] house and so he reluctantly agreed to give the buyer the 1 week extension and asked for a one week extension on the [redacted] purchase well.  Everyone agreed and so it was postponed a week.  Then a few days later Mr. [redacted] reached out to me to pay him an additional $5,000 to help out with the over $10,000 worth of expenses he claimed this one week extension was costing him.  I told him that at this point I had given all that I could, but then after a few more back and forths I offerred to pay the bill for the painter that had painted his condo before we listed which amounted to $1,500.  So at this point I had negotiated $18,750 off of the commission.  More than on any other transaction I have been involved with in my 17 years as a real estate agent.  Mr. [redacted] did not find this offer acceptable and then began to be extremely rude and threatened to take other action against me.  It got to the point where I was no longer comfortable to be around him and so I told him I would not be attending the final walk through with him.   I own the business where I work and I emply 11 other agents.  I take this sort of thing very seriously.  Mr. [redacted] was the most difficult and abusive client I have had in all of my 17 years doing this.  I am truly sorry that he was unhappy with his experience with my company but if I had it to do all over again I would not have offerred all of those discounts if I knew it would just get me having to reply to a complaint like this.  I am available to discuss this further by phone if that is easier at [redacted].  Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter.
