I am rejecting this response because:
Mr *** has defamed me and blatantly lied about my behaviour Not only that I had bought a friend with me who I had recommended to also do business there and because of the way I was treated she decided to go elsewhere His assistant Manager was nasty and accusatory from the outset My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars over the years at this business and have nevr been treated like this Since he and his assistant have so many years of experience and if he inspected the ring months ago as he claimed, why didnt he mention anything about the prongs or the diamonds falling out and the wearing and the age of the ring because it was years old months ago also The agitation came after being treated as if $dollars would break the bank and as if was asking for more then to be treated like a good, paying customer I should not have to keep coming back and paying over and over again without being told what Mr *** finally states in this complaint but was never ever stated any of the other times we came in to have diamonds replaced They just gladly took the money and waited for us t come back because none of the other damage was ever mentioned He also lied when h said I insulted his assistant Manager I never insulted her I just let her know that I didnt like her accusatory statements, and she thought she was not being accusatory, but when my friend confirmed that she was being accusatory and told her that she was not going to do business with them because of the way I was being treated ,then she walked away and very agitatedly and said "Im not helping this customer" Very unprofessional My husband and I were lifetime customers, but not now I have recommended so many people there, but no longer Mr*** might want to look up what happens when people are sued for slander He would rather that then be at the very lease an honorable Businessman He would rather lose business for the Jewelry Exchange

My name is Chris ***I am the manager of The Jewelry Exchange in Hackensack NJBoth myself and my senior assistant manager where named in this complaintOn 2/18/, the customer who filed this complaint was greeted by my assistant managerThe customer was agitated from the moment she
entered the storeIts understandable to be frustrated by a recurring problemI overheard my assistant manager trying to discuss the problem with the customerShe explained that the ring was over a decade old and that replacing the lost diamond would entail a minor cost..approx$It was at this time she became extremely agitated and insulting to my assistant managerI stepped into the conversation to again try to calmly explain that even though diamonds had been replaced in the past, it had been full months since the previous repairI inspected the ring as well at that time and could clearly see some prongs were bent and wornBetween myself and my assistant manager we have over yrs of experience in inspecting jewelryA ring that is years old is wornMetal fatigues and wears thinner and weaker over timeReplacing loose diamonds and re-tipping prongs does not guaranty a diamond wont fall out again in the futureNobody accused the customer of anythingShe just refused to acknowledge the possibility that over the prior months something possibly could have contributed to another stone to fall out of this older ringNobody treated this customer poorly or with disrespectHer animosity was palpable from the moment she entered the storeAt this point in time, id offer to replace the missing diamond at NO COST to the customer, with a clear understanding there is NO guaranty that it wont happen againIf she wants a guaranty, a new setting would be advisable

As of this past week, the customer [redacted], picked up her ring after it was repaired to her satisfaction and at a reduced price. She signed ourStores repair waiver agreement stating so. At this point the matter has been resolved.
