I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Customer was advised to file a damage claim after their return was received damaged in transit. We advised that we would retain the part for 10 days to facilitate a claim investigation period by their carrier (USPS). Almost a month later, customer asked for the part back but well before then it...

was discarded as we originally indicated.Record of correspondence:
10/12/2015 Customer ordered part.10/21/2015 Customer indicated the part would be returned.10/26/2015 Item returned, broken in shipping.11/11/2015 We notified customer.11/16/2015 Customer responded, said they would contact USPS for damage claim.11/17/2015 Customer contacted again, asked why we cannot provide a refund. We advised to file a damage claim. Customer asked for tracking number.11/19/2015 Tracking number recovered and sent to customer, advised to file a damage claim and that we would hold the part for 10 days then it will be discarded.12/14/2015 Customer contacted us to indicate they sent payment for return shipping. No payment is found.12/18/2015 Customer called asking for part. 1/5/2015 Customer called indicating they sent payment. We responded asking for reference of payment so we can refund.
We are not able to refund items which were returned damaged. We regret any frustration caused and wish we could help more.
We do not find the $14 payment for return shipping when searching either email addresses we have for the customer. If customer can advise their transaction id in PayPal for the payment, we can find and refund that amount.

Do not do business with this company. They will not honor their return policy.

Our customer ordered the part set the shipment in motion, then emailed us later to ask whether it was the correct part for their car or not. By the time we were able to read and respond to the email (we receive many!) the order had already shipped. We certainly understand it can be frustrating to...

have to return an incorrectly ordered item and the responsibility is with the buyer to do so. We strongly recommend making sure an item is correct before setting an order in motion. Most companies strive to ship as quickly as possible. Despite this being an honest mistake, we have refunded the buyer's return shipping charge, via a [redacted] payment to their email address.
