I was recommended this lawncare company from my landlord last fall when I first moved into my rental home I only needed MrBrock's services a couple of times before the weather got colder but then resumed services in April of this year We agreed that he would come every two weeks during the parts of the year that his services were needed I would pay him $per cut for my lawn Last fall, I would just pay him by money order each time he cut my lawn Then in April, he told me he wanted to be paid upfront (before the 15th of each month) and would send me an invoice each month I received ONE invoice for April and was never sent another after that I continued to pay him at the beginning of each month like he insisted but he consistently didn't show up when he said he would Instead of every two weeks, he would start showing up every three weeks Sometimes every FOUR weeks During the summer months, my grass would be knee high before he would come and cut it I would have to call/text him to please come cut my grass He would NEVER come every two weeks as promised He would always give me some excuse that "it rained this week"...or, "My kid was sick"....or "Life got in the way." Since he didn't come every two weeks, my payments would rollover into the next month as credits I was constantly having to write on my calendar when he actually cut the lawn and when I paid him I finally had enough of playing games every month and decided to fire him at the beginning of October When I texted him and told him I was no longer going to use his services he replied "I will no longer be servicing the Marietta area...sorry for the inconvenience..." (You don't say???) I told him he owed me a $credit because he never cut my grass during the second half of September He replied, "I'll send you a refund so you have plenty of time to find another lawn guy." Well, by this time I didn't have "plenty of time" because it had already been weeks since he cut my lawn, hence the reason he was being fired He promised he would put the refund in the mail in the morning (October 2nd) I texted him and told him how extremely unhappy I was with his inconsistencies and he replied (and I quote verbatim), "Yeah this right here is why I'm done with some of my customers! They tend to forget st I do for them and don't charge them or whatever! It doesn't matter I'm not gonna argue with nobody I'm a grown man! I'll put ur check in the mail in the morning!" He then told me that I was welcome to leave a review on the Revdex.com, which I plan on doing after I submit this review He also said, "I'm gonna send you $120, the $I owe and the first cut from whoever u choose is on me!" I waited THREE WEEKS with no refund in sight so I texted him AGAIN He swore to me that he put the refund in the mail "a week ago." Obviously not I waited ANOTHER week No refund I texted him AGAIN He gave me an excuse that he was sending it again but waiting on his business checks to arrive I waited so more I texted him again a few days later He swore to me (on his daughter's life) that he sent it I offered other means of payment such as PayPal, Western Union or my husband coming to pick it up By this point it had been well over a month that I had been inquiring about the refund I finally received it yesterday, via mail, with a check made out to me by his girlfriend (so professional...not) The postmark date on the envelope said November 3rd (YESTERDAY!!!) The date on the check said October 27th (which is a LIE) Also, the check was made out for $and not $like he offered This guy is the biggest liar and most irresponsible "business" man I have ever met STAY AWAY!! I recommend using an actual BUSINESS and not some guy who cuts lawns in his spare time and lives with his parents
