Bromwell's TFP

Review: I ordered a fireplace DV reface with glass doors on or about August 19th 2013 from Bromwell’s. When the door was order it was told it would take five to seven weeks for me to receive the reface. I eventually received the reface over 10 weeks later. Once I installed the reface, the door did not shut evenly due to it being too tight of a fit in the fireplace opening. I removed the reface and measured it too find that it was ¼’’ bigger than the agreed to specifications.

When began process, I took the measurement myself, but the store representative asked me to pay a $95.00 fee to ensure the measurements were correct. That way I would not be liable, should I receive the door and it did not fit due to incorrect measurements. I agreed and their representatives came to my home and measured my fireplace. The measurements they took were slight bigger than the one I took ranging from 1/16’’ to 1/4’’. I stated I was fined with that and that I was ensure the fireplace opening watch match the measurements they took.

The measurement in question is listed as measurement D on their specifications sheet. That measurement is listed as 34’’. The reface I received is 34 ¼ ‘’. The reface is ¼’’ too big.

I paid the $95.00 fee to protect myself against this. Now they are telling that there is nothing they can do and I am stuck with the door.Desired Settlement: At this point, I want to return the door for a full refund of $1252.50.
