To Whom it may Concern,This letter is in response to the complaint filed on April 16th, by Ms*** ***. After receiving Ms***’s complaint and the review of the facts with my management team, based upon the circumstances and the history surrounding the transaction I feel that
we have been ethical and correct in the handling of the issues mentioned by *** *** in her complaint towards Bronco Motors.Ms*** leased a Hyundai Veloster on August 8th, from our Hyundai dealership in Boise. Upon reviewing the lease contract, Ms*** entered into a month lease with Hyundai Motor Finance on the Hyundai Veloster (Vin Number: KMHTC6AD0EU194100). Ms*** signed a lease contract with Hyundai Motor Finance on the mentioned vehicle that clearly outlined fees mentioned in Ms***’s complaint such as the disposition fee of $400, the lease damage penalties associated with the care of the vehicle during the term of the lease, and what would be charged in the instance of early termination of the leaseMs*** chose to terminate the lease of her Veloster at our Hyundai dealership in Boise on August 2nd, despite her signed contract stating her lease maturity date of November 14th, 2017. Per the lease agreement, the vehicle was inspected by a 3rd party inspector hired by Hyundai Motor Finance on August 4th, 2017. In the condition report compiled by the inspector, Ms*** was billed $for a missing key and $for wheel damages totaling $that she is responsible for as stated in her signed lease contractMs*** has made a claim that she never received a spare key for the vehicle after purchasePer our dealership records, the spare key was mailed to the address used during the transaction on August 25th, with no record of being returned to our dealership by the United States Postal Service. Please see attached document of the condition report outlining these charges.Ms***’s father made a decision to purchase Ms*** a new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport from our Mitsubishi location in Nampa on July 26th, after *** visited our Mitsubishi location days earlier on July 15th, 2017. Clearly outlined in the Hyundai lease contract signed by Ms*** is a disposition fee amount of $should Ms*** ground the vehicle and not choose to purchase or lease another new Hyundai product. We have explained to Ms*** that this is a fee charged by Hyundai Motor Finance not Bronco Motors. This fee is part of the total collections amount that Hyundai Motor Finance is seeking from Ms***.Ms*** has also informed us that she is being charged approximately $in lease payments and $in sales tax on those remaining payments. Ms*** signed a lease contract with Hyundai Motor Finance stating that she would be responsible for any unmade payments should she choose to ground the vehicle or terminate the lease early as she did when she grounded the vehicle on August 2nd, The contested figure in the complaint is a figure that is not owed to Bronco Motors, but rather Hyundai Motor FinanceHyundai Motor Finance has sent Ms*** to collections due to not receiving payment to the previous listed charges that Ms*** agreed to when she decided to lease the Hyundai Veloster on August 8th, from our Hyundai dealership in Boise.In an email to our current General Sales Manager at the Hyundai dealership on April 12th, 2018, Ms*** explained that she had not in her words “seen a single email, mail, voicemail, or phone call about these amounts” due to Hyundai Motor Finance. Upon reviewing current personal information (phone number, email address, and address) with Ms***, we find it unlikely that she was not notified about the collection charges from Hyundai Motor Finance and the collection agency SRA Collection since her early termination of her leaseIn the unlikely event that this is the case, Ms*** has an issue with Hyundai Motor Finance and not Bronco Motors regarding the lack of communication to alert her of the charges associated with the early termination of her leased vehicle.As of April 19th, there is no written documentation stating that Bronco Motors would be liable for any charges Ms*** received for turning her leased vehicle in on August 2nd, In order to assist Ms*** with her desire to figure out her collections with Hyundai Motors Finance and their collections agency SRA, we have given Ms*** Hyundai Motor Finance’s phone number that is designed specifically to assist Hyundai Motor Finance customers with Lease End Billing questions and concernsWe hope that Ms*** will be able to sort out her collections and questions about said collections by using this number to personally access her account with Hyundai Motor Finance. In addition, we have good willed Ms*** $in a form of a check on April 24th, to assist with paying for the missing key that was not present at the time of lease termination and inspection by Hyundai Motor Finance.Ms***’s complaint is one that should be directed to Hyundai Motor Finance and not Bronco MotorsHer collections account that has allegedly impacted her credit score was enacted by Hyundai Motor Finance not Bronco MotorsI believe that my executive management team has reached out and assisted Ms*** with her issues with Hyundai Motor Finance and SRA Collections in a prompt and professional mannerFor over years we have prided ourselves in taking care of the customer before, during and especially after the sale.
