team, based upon the circumstances and the history surrounding this transaction I feel that we have been more than fair in our handling of the issues involving the vehicle [redacted] purchased from Bronco Motors.Ms. [redacted] purchased the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee on July 11th, 2016 from our Mitsubishi dealership. At the time of the purchase the vehicle has 111,536 mile on it, and based upon the year of the vehicle and the mileage it did not qualify for a limited warranty and so the vehicle was sold "as-is" without a warranty . Per our internal policies and procedures, when we sale a customer an "as-is" vehicle it is clearly disclosed to them that the vehicle is being sold without a warranty and there is paperwork in the deal, signed by the customer to support this. At the time of purchase Ms. [redacted] was offer the option to purchase an extended warranty for the vehicle, which she declined. As part of the sale we did however, agree to have the transmission flushed and serviced. On August 5th Ms. [redacted] returned to our service department to have the vehicles transmission serviced, which was completed at no cost to her. On October 14th and 3,000 miles driven later Ms. [redacted] came in with a complaint that the transmission hot light was on. We decided to sublet it to Stampede Dodge to have it diagnosed. It was determined that the transmission solenoid pack need to be replaced. We discussed this with [redacted], and our General Manager agreed to split the cost of the repairs with Ms. [redacted] 50/50, and that she could make payments to us for her portion of the repair costs. She agreed to this and the repairs were completed. On November 18 Ms. [redacted] came back with the complaint that at times the transmission hot light was coming back on but then goes off, so we sent it back to Stampede where they found 2 new codes and recommended a new ECM. We brought the vehicle back to our store and found a used part to have installed again at no charge to her and she signed a hold harmless agreement authorizing the repairs. On February 22, 2017 and another 4,000 miles driven later Ms. [redacted] brought the vehicle back to our service department indicating it was running rough. After checking the vehicle we found that the #4 cylinder only had 60 PSI. We tried to oil soak the cylinder to see if we could get the compress ion up but no luck so we told her we would need to tear down the engine to find out what and where the failure was.Ms. [redacted] was given a loaner at this time whi le she figured out if she could afford to fix it,tradeIt or buy an extended warranty. She worked with our sales department for a long time trying to trade or buy the extended warranty but never deciding anything so Ifinally called her and told her that we need to get our loaner car back since it had been almost 4 months without any decision. She indicated that she couldn't afford to complete any of the repairs at the time. Igave her a few days to make a decision to work with sales or to bring our vehicle back by Friday June 23rd and pick up her vehicle.Ms. [redacted] came back in on June 23rd dropped off our loaner vehicle and took her vehicle. She told our Service Advisor that she was taking it to another shop. This was the last communication we had with Ms. [redacted].Bronco Motors has been a family owned and operated business in the Treasure Valley for over 47 years and we pride ourselves for in taking care of our customers before, during and especially after the sale. Bronco Motors is a long standing member of the Revdex.com in good standing. Ifeel we went above and beyond to try and satisfy Ms. [redacted] and the situation and I believe we were more than fair in our dealings with Ms. [redacted].Unfortunately sometimes circumstances are beyond anyone's control.I hope you will consider me comments and understand that we care about our customers, our community and our reputation.
