Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The tenants did not contact me but contacted Bronco Spa directly when they saw the problems on the hot tub. They paid $100 towards the repairs. They then contact me to inform me of the problems and gave me Bronco Spas phone number to contact. When the repairs where completed in 2013, I did not meet Bronco Spa at the property to go over the repairs like he said; that is not true. This is the first I was not told that he replaced the tank with a larger tank, I was not aware of this. I am a property manager and I do not go to the property when a repair such as this are needed. In fact, I believe he came to me for payment, since he was being paid in cash. He did not tell me there was no warranty on the filter tank nor did his paperwork. The owner would have never installed a used filter tank with no warranty, that does not make sense.
I originally did contact Bronco Spa to clean the spa in May 2014, the tenants had just vacated. He was unavailable so I contacted another company. I did not know that there was any problems with the hot tub, nothing had been reported to me by the tenants. The company that I hired to clean the hot tub was used by the tenants throughout their 2 year tenancy. They informed me of the cracked filter tank-attached are the pictures. My first attempt to resolve the problem was to email, not called, Bronco Spa of my concerns and also sent pictures of the filter tank. He contacted me by phone and when I questioned the tank, he stated he had only repaired it as stated in my original response. I requested [redacted] go to the property to look at the filter tank and write up an evaluation of his work so I could forward to the owner. He did speak with my maintenance person about the filter tank, he said he did not repaired it but replaced it with a used one. He also informed him the cost to replace the filter tank new would be $400-$500. Although he did speak with my maintenance person, this would not be the way to resolve the issue with the owner, to relay a message. I did not receive anything in writing from Bronco Spa to forward to the owner nor do I think I have to chase him for an answer. I am having a new filter tank replaced for $185.
I did review the pictures [redacted] attached to his response. The first pictures, "the old tank" does not show the tank information. The second picture showing "the replacement" does show the information on the tank. I am not able to see anything from his pictures. The filter tank now is cracked all the way from the bottom to the top, not a very good used tank. If I had known a larger used tank was being installing and was in such bad shape and had no warranty, I would have gone else where for the filter tank. The owner is still requesting a reimbursement.
Regards,
[redacted]

I would like this matter to go to arbitration.

On 12/3/2012 [redacted] a renter at [redacted] St.contacted me for troubleshooting a heater with smoke coming out of it and leaks. The smoke turned out to just be steam coming off the heater on start up,.Time clock that did not work, pump leak at pump leaf trap. Leak found on shut off valve...

at pump suction, leak found at valve near heater, cracked filter where gauge mounts to filter. An Estimate for repairs of $450.00 was submitted. The original filter was a Hayward c-500 it is a 50 square foot filter. I replaced it with a used Hayward c-1100. It is a 100 square foot filter and of a newer model than the original. Total labor of about 3 hours, I installed the filter, I plumbed in 2 new valves installed a new time clock and a new leaf trap, drained and refilled spa, tested system and discounted the repairs to 420.00 which I met with [redacted] at the property where I walked through the repairs with here on 1/10/2013. I implied no warranty with a used filter bit all new parts were implied warranty by there manufacturer and labor was a 90 day warranty. A new filter has a 1 year warranty by the manufacture..  I did not give any warranty on a used filter. [redacted] contacted me to do a clean on the spa which due to scheduling I could not do in a timely manner. There was no mention of a leak in the filter at that time. Spa and filter cleans should be performed every 3-6 months. Not cleaning a filter for over a year would put a high pressure on the filter. [redacted] called me after the spa was cleaned by another company and informed me of the leak on the filter. At that time I was mobile in my truck. I had no access to my records. My recollection which was wrong (Thought it was another job for a different customer) that I did a repair on the filter. When I went out to the property on 6/14 I saw that the complete filter was replaced. A new cartridge was installed in it probably by the company that cleaned the spa. My guess is that this was the spa cleaning company that installed it. I am not quite sure why a company would install a new filter cartridge on a filter that leaked unless the filter pressure was way to high. I explained all the repairs to [redacted]'s representative at the property which he said would inform [redacted] and thought the repairs were accurately explained. I did not receive any correspondence after my meeting on 6/14/2014 so I figured the matter was closed. Attached are pictures from 12/3/21012 showing original filter and valve and leaf trap. Also pictures from  6/14/2014 showing the filter I installed and the other work I performed. Original paperwork is also available upon request but I believe the pictures will show that a complete filter was installed and not a repair or filter tank replaced
