Responding to this complaint I have reviewed with the manager of this site to get a complete understanding of the issue There was a part time person in the office at the time of the Rental Agreement signature This person wrote the incorrect "paid through date" on the agreement, however
the computer generated receipt and subsequent paperwork shows clearly that the paid through date was 2/27/ The customer did in fact call our office and spoke with one of the managers about giving notice ahead of the date she wanted to move-out and the manger told her that the paid through date was 2/27/and that we would be happy to pro-rate her rent so she would be paid through 3/4/ It seems that the she did not understand that she was told if she would come into the office and pay the pro-rated portion of the rent, which amounted to days rent that she would be granted access to the site Since the customer did not come in and pay the pro-rated amount, the computer would not recognize her unit as being paid and did not grant access on 3/4/ After this time there has been communication between customer and the manager and we have agreed to grant her access to the site and no pro-rated rent will be due This was done because of the miscommunication on the hand written date on the agreement and the computer generated receipt that showed the correct "paid through date" In an effort to satisfy the customer we have extended her paid through date to 3/27/and she is now scheduled to move out on 3/17/We believe that if the customer had understood and listened to the instructions by the manager, she would have come into the office and paid the pro-rated amount and then the computer (which controls the gate access after hours) would have granted access because she would have been paid through 3/4/

I am rejecting this response because: I was not given nor do I have a computer generated receipt of any kindThe only information I have to go on is what the lady at the office said, which was that I was paid throw March, and I have the contract that I signed that said the same thingI called the office because I had received an email about paying and let them know that it was my plan to move outI was not told I would be locked out if I did not come by the officeSince I was paid through March the only prorated amount I could think of would be an amount that would be due to meThe response from the company restates what I reported, that their records were incorrectDue to their incorrect paperwork, I was unable to access my unit, which cost me $in a trip charge with the movers I had bookedI understand that mistakes happen, however, their mistake ended up costing meI simply want reimbursement for that I rescheduled the move tentatively for the 17th of March, however, I have had to push that date to March 27thWhen I let the company know I had scheduled tentatively for the 17th, I asked for clarification on their notice policy since I have documents from them that have conflicting informationI have not received an answer yet which makes me leery.
