Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: While I agree and accept that the garage houses cars for shareholders and non share holders for a condo/corp and that people who own apartments receive a price break by showing proof that they live there by providing Bronx Car Park with and updated copy of their registration every yearsI also accept that it is my responsibility to keep my registration up-to-date with Bronx Car Park HOWEVER, even the response to this complaint is CLEAR that: (DIRECT QUOTE ) "Any person that owns an apartment that does not have their registration up to date will be charged the extra amount until they can show proof of the car registration is attached to the address of the apartment that they own." I did show proof that my car registration is attached to my address by faxing in the updated NYS registration as well as to call to confirm receipt by Bronx Car ParkI therefore asked that the additional charge of $be removed from my account In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Good day,This complaint is correct in talking about her registration and there being a higher price if we do not have evidence of the car being registered at the Fordham Hill AddressThis practice was put in place in the lease that we have with Fordham Hill Oval where I believe she is a
shareholderIt states that there will be a reduced rate for a shareholders cars that are registered to the Fordham Hill Oval addressThe shareholder must keep an updated copy of that registration with our office. As the complainant stated in the file she did not notice that the email that she sent out in August was bounced back until sometime in OctoberIf we did receive her initial email in August that proved that the car was registered to the Fordham hill Oval Address and that she is in fact a current shareholder, then at that time she would have received the reduced rate, we would not know that her email was bounced back if we never received itWe would like to come up with a fair solution to this issue for ***I hope this finds you well and I look forward to hearing from you.Thank You

I have been billed $by this company for failing to submit a copy of my vehicle registration for my previous vehicle (Toyota Highlander 2014) since expired in MarchI have attempted to speak to the business owner (someone by the name of Jill) in good faith, but she refused to consider my requestI renewed my registration in February In June, I turned in that vehicle and leased a new Toyota Highlander at which time I was given a temporary cardI was away all summer and my vehicle was parked at the garageUpon my return in August I emailed the company a copy of the new registration cardUnfortunately, the email was bounced back and it wasn't until October when searching my files, that I discovered it was not sentTo that extent, I forwarded a copy of the original email to the company as proofI do not understand why this company insists on charging their customers a monthly fee for not submitting a copy of their registration when they can clearly confirm any vehicles

Review: June **, 2015

This HORRIBLE nightmare began yesterday afternoon around 3:45pm. I was on my way to relieve my dad’s health aide. He is 93 and has been in hospice for a year. I got to the Bronx Car Park System’s Garage on [redacted], across the street from Fordham Hill Co-ops and the attendant brought my car up with a BIG RED sign stating NON-PAYMENT of $339.52 !!!!

I told the manager, Rick (he was filling in for Guillermo and it was the first time I saw him), that I had paid the bill as always($200) at the beginning of the month. He said I had to speak with the Office. I told him my Dad is in hospice – I have to relieve the health-aid now and he still said- “you have to speak with the office.” I went back home, called the office ###-###-#### and spoke with Brooke. She advised they did get my $200.00 payment that day,(I found that strange-my $200 check was sent on the 4th of June) but, the problem was the registration—“What about it,” I asked? “Well, we don’t have any record of your car being registered.” “What, that’s ridiculous, I said. My car has been registered since NOVEMBER 2014.” “Well, we don’t have a record of it and you owe $139.52. That's $17.44 for every month we don't have your registration.”

My car is registered with a 11-2016 sticker on it. But, because of what I am going through with my Dad-I do remember giving a copy to Guillermo (the parking lot manager) to give to the office, but, I looked in my wallet and I didn’t have the original. I have no idea what I did with it. So, I asked Brook if I could take a cell phone pic of the registration on my car window. She said, “…sounds like a good idea to me- let me check…”

She did and came back to the phone to say, “I’m so sorry, but, my boss- Anthony won’t release the car.” “Why not.” “Because the sticker in the window does not have your address on it.” I go back to the garage, and show Rick my license with Fordham Hill address and my insurance card with my address on it. He calls Anthony, and I speak with him. He tells me because the Registration sticker is missing with my address on it – he couldn’t release the car. “Many people try to get the Fordham Hill discount who don’t live there.” I said, “are you kidding me—I have been living here for 33 years and have served on the Board of Directors.” I went passed Rick found my car and drove it to my father’s house – It was now 2 hours later.

This morning, 11:45, I went to the garage to get my car to drive to the DMV in the Bronx to get duplicate stickers---I was told it has a BOOT on it. The manager Guillermo is back and he says to me, “I do remember you giving me your papers and I had them delivered to the office—I don’t know what happened after that. But, now they are telling me NOT to give you your car.” I said, “ WHAT!!!!- now I have to take a bus, or cab to the DMV --- he said, “Yes, the office instructed me not to give you your car.”

So, I took the bus to the DMV- waited in line—told the clerk I need a duplicate registration sticker. I received a Temporary Sticker to put in my car (that I did not need)– WITHOUT an address on it and I was told the addressed one would be sent in the mail within 10 days. I called the office and spoke with Jill. She said she knew it did not have an address on it, but (Anthony sent me there, however) I still owe them $17.44 for 8 months- from November to June. If I would get the new sticker in by June **—she would take off the June charge of $17.44, but, the other charges, $122.08 , would remain. –And I would not get my car unless I pay the $122.08.” I am being charged for something I did not know was missing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two hours later of waiting at the DMV and after this last call – I returned to Fordham Hill. I went to the Fordham Hill Management Office and got a letter that stated I am a current owner of two apartments for 33 years. I went to the garage with the letter, but, they still would not take the boot off – unless they got a check of $122.08. I paid it—for now, because I had to get to my Dad’s - who again is in Hospice Care with MJS-St. Luke's Hospital.

But—this is totally and completely wrong. When I went to the Fordham Hill Office, the Property Manager there, Ms. Richelle N[redacted] ###-###-#### told me she has receive many other complaints about this same thing.

I think this is a way for Bronx Car Park Systems to take in extra money. I asked Jill, if I gave in copies of my registration last November , HOW would I know that you did not receive them and WHY would you wait 8 months to say so ---Then charge me $17.44 a month as a penalty. There are over a 1,000 families in Fordham Hill. I can only guess how much they can rack-in by doing this to the owners who park here in this complex—SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE! I HAVE BEEN HUMILIATED, DEMEANED, MADE TO PAY BOGUS CHARGES AND WASTED MY TIME FOR 2 DAYS!!!!

ALSO- A BIG RED 81/2" X 11" piece of paper is placed on your car for the world to see --HOLD FOR NON-PAYMENT- IF YOU DO NOT PAY- THE GARAGE ATTENDANT WILL!!!

Unfortunately, this is how people get hurt -- why drag in others to their mis-management of their paper work.

It would be nice to contact people first. They have no problem in calling you if you are 1 day late with your monthly bill!

PS. - No one can tell me what this $17.44 monthly charge consists of

Sincerely, **Desired Settlement: I want a formal apology from Anthony and Jill-- they are INCONSIDERATE ON THE PHONE --along with them changing this practice of Booting and humiliating customers in public unless absoultely necessary--CHECK FIRST!!! I know that they have done this to other residences who will also be getting in contact with the Revdex.com.

I want my $122.08 back. (Clearly my car has been registered since November 2014 and my registration was handed in to their manager of the garage - who like I said- remembers me giving it to him and he gave it into the office in Nov.2014)

Review: This complaint is about Bronx Car Park System Inc with business Offices at:

Telephone ###-###-####

I have been parking at the Bronx Car Park at [redacted] since April 2012. When I first started parking there, I filled out an application and was asked for a copy of my NY State vehicle registration, a copy of my drivers license and the first month check-ALL of which were provided. (The Application Form was a photocopied form with spaces for name , contact and vehicle information NO FINE PRINT).

On June *, 2015 I received a request by phone for my updated registration, as the previous one had expired around February 2015. On June *, 2015 I faxed the requested NY State registration to the offices of Bronx Car Park Systems Inc.

On June **, 2015 I received a bill for $30.78 from Bronx Car Park System Inc for "Monthly Garage Charge". I have always paid my bill ON-TIME and IN FULL, so I called the office to inquire about the charge and to see if the monthly rates went up. I was told that the charge was for expired registration. I asked to speak with the supervisor and was told that he or she was in a meeting. My complaint will be summarized through the following:

1. At no time did I receive from Bronx Car Park Systems a contract which indicated if my current registration is not on file I will be billed $10.26 monthly.

2. If the extra charges were legitimate, why did the bill say monthly garage charge and not expired registration charge?

3. After I submitted the current registration by fax, and it was confirmed received in the office, shouldn't that prove that my registration was renewed on time and at no time was my vehicle in "expired status"?

4. What jurisdiction does Bronx Car Park System Inc has to collect fees for NYS vehicle registration?

5. What administrative or otherwise expenses did Bronx Car Park System Inc incurred as a result of not having a current registration document on file to justify the $10.26 times 3 totaling $30.78?

When I spoke to the supervisor of Bronx Car Park System (on July **) informing her of the above, she told me it has to do with an arrangement made with the Management Office of my residence ten years ago, and that I should take it up with them. I informed her that I did not get a bill from the management office but from Bronx Car Park System Inc; and that even so, that arrangement where if the current registration is not on file , I will be billed was never communicated to me by either Bronx Car Park or the management office. She also failed to see that by my faxing the current registration when it was requested, that should be enough for a reversal of fees. She said she will not remove the fees.Desired Settlement: 1. No justified reason was given for the charges outlined, so I want a complete removal from my statement.

2. In the future, if such charges are justified, then a contract is necessary.

Response:

In order to keep this response to this complaint short and precise is to just explain that this garage is a garage that houses cars for shareholders and non share holders for a condo corp. The people that own apartments and reside in the community that is across the street from the garage receive a price break. The way that they get this break is by showing proof that they live there by providing Bronx Car Park with and updated copy of their registration every 2 years. This is something that was agreed upon with the board that oversees that entire community. It is not the responsibility of the garage to keep these documents up to date but the sole responsibility of the individual who resides there and parks in Bronx Car Park. Any person that owns an apartment that does not have their registration up to date will be charged the extra amount until they can show proof of the car registration is attached to the address of the apartment that they o wn.
