Review: I spioke with the manager [redacted] about problems with my vehicle transmission. I had my vehicle towed from peeksill new york to his shop. We agreed on a price tro fix the transmission. I spoke with the salvage company LGK for the price of a replacement transmission. I paid the manager 2300.00 in cash to replace the transmission with the agreement that I take the replaced transmission back to LQK for my 150.00 credit. Upon completetion of the jod and after payment [redacted] refused to give me my replaced transmission. He had collected my 150.00 credit without my authorization. He had no right to collect my credit. He refuse to give me my 150.00 he colleted or return my to me my original transmission that I requested before the job was started. This is unethical and warrants immediate action.Desired Settlement: My 150.00 credit for the transmission I purcaesed be refunded to me, or my transmission returned to me.

Please be advise I gave to the customer two options: Option 1
I quoted him a price of $2300.00 this include a 6 months warranty on parts and labor with me purchasing the transmission having it available when he dropped his car off to my shop for the job to be done. The transmission was used and it had 59,000 miles.
Option 2
He could purchase a used transmission with original Toyota transmission oil and I would only charge for the installation of the transmission and no warranty on the part.
The customer choose the first option.
At no time did I advise him tha' t I woul'd not collect a credit of the transmission as I purchased the part under Bronx Auto Repair; If the customer had purchased the part the credit would have been given to him by the company where he purchased it. I would also have been unable to provide a warranty as I cannot guarantee a part that I did hot purchase.
As advised to you on the phone, an incident occurred against me personally after this customer's visit to the shop on .

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
They had no right to sell any parts from my vehicle without my authorization. They were paid in full the amount they requested for completion of the repairs. Selling parts from my vehicle without my authorization is deceitful business practices. The allegations in the complaint is meant to divert from the issue at hand. The core of this complaint is unauthorized selling of parts from my vehicle without authorization for monetary gains in addition to what was paid.
