Bronx Vision Center Reviews (2)

On Tuesday afternoon of September the [redacted] of this year, [redacted] came into my store to purchase glasses.  I showed her over 20 frames for over an hour.  The prescription on her lenses were very strong and therefore are very expensive.  I gave her over 50% discount on her lenses...

and also a considerable discount on her frame. The final sale was for $230 on what technically should have at least been $400.  I told her that she saved almost $200 and she left my store VERY HAPPY and satisfied with the service and even told me that she would recommend this establishment to all of her friends and co-workers.

One hour later, [redacted] calls my office demanding a refund!  I told her about our NO REFUND store policy (which is also on the bottom of the store receipt as well as being displayed prominently on the walls in this store).  I asked her why would she want a refund when I just gave her a great deal and her response was that after thinking it over,  she realized that it was just going to be too much for her to afford and that she changed her mind.  I again told her that it is against store policy to give refunds. At that point [redacted] told me that she would speak to her credit card company and then hung up on me.

This is everything that happened in detail.

Review: I purchased glasses from this optical after 6PM and tried to cancel the order about 20 minutes after I left the store and was told there are no refunds and cannot cancel the order. Allegedly, there are signs in the store but I did not see them nor were the visible. I should have been told this verbally before I made the transaction, I was not. The clerk selling me the glasses was very deceptive. Prices are not listed in the display cases or on the frames. When inquiring about when the glasses would be ready the clerk said that the place where they order from was closed but that he would be placing the order in the morning. After making my selections and charging my credit card, I changed my mind and called the store to cancel the order since I knew the clerk had not placed the order. The clerk said that he could not cancel because there are no refunds and that he had already called the third party place and placed the order. This whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I live in this neighborhood and try to support our local Bronx businesses. It's a shame that you need to leave the borough to get better customer service when it comes to exchanges and cancellations.Desired Settlement: I would liked my order to be canceled and receive a full refund.
