Review: On January 22, 2013, we bought through [redacted] a [redacted] limo from [redacted] of Brook Road Auctions in [redacted], Penn. The [redacted] ad claimed the vehicle's interior and exterior were in great shape per the posted photos. We were also told in writing by **. [redacted] that the sale was guaranteed by [redacted]. We paid for the limo and sent a truck to drive it to California. **. [redacted] didn't release the limo since he was "fixing it." We had to send a second truck to pick up the limo more than a month later, on February 27, and very little of it lived up to the ad's claims. The vinyl roof detached and parts were in the trunk, the passenger doors didn't open from the inside, had missing handles, the side moldings were damaged and taped on, one of the headlights was permanently fogged, the front brakes needed replacing, a side window was scratched, glass bar holders were missing, aluminum bar covers were scratched, electrical units had parts sticking out, the whole car needed repainting, and the ashtrays of a "smoke free" vehicle contained ashes. Starting the day after payment, we repeatedly asked for the limo's title and bill of sale but didn't receive them. **. [redacted] sent the sale paperwork and a supposedly clean 2007 title. Since he had never registered the limo after buying it in California, we had to pay $1,222 in registration fees and penalties since California had no record of it ever leaving the state. We also discovered it had been totaled in 2006, which meant [redacted] wouldn't guarantee the purchase. It will cost $10,000 to bring the limo up to the ad's description, but **. [redacted] doesn't answer calls or emails.Desired Settlement: He can give us $10,000 for the repairs so we can get it to the standard he advertised, or he can refund the $19,100 we paid for the limo and take it back.
