I have been going to Brook West Family Dentistry since and have to say this is the best dental officeThe staff is greatLori, Lisa, Cindie, Dr's Smith and Domaas go above and beyond to make each visit a comfortable and even enjoyable experienceBrook West is a pioneer when it comes to the latest technologyI would highly recommend this practice to anyone, and I have referred many friends and family!

I went to Brook West Family Dentistry in July of as a new customer where I received a cleaning and a full set of x-raysI had full dental insurance at the time of that visit, and provided the correct insurance information for their billing purposesImmediately following that visit, I continued to receive statements for the full balance of my servicesI contacted their billing office, several times, as well as my insurer to have the issue resolvedBrook West Family Dentistry's billing department was very difficult to work with, and unhelpful in resolving the billIn January of 2017, I had a dental emergency where I had a chipped tooth and needed immediate repairBrook West Family Dentistry was the only business that was able to get me in the office on the same dayI arrived at Brook West Family Dentistry for my appointment, I updated my information and advised the secretary that I no longer had dental insuranceI sat in the waiting room for twenty minutes before a dental assistant came and got me from the waiting roomI was brought back to an exam room where I spoke with the dental assistant, I did not see a doctorThe dental assistant took a single x-ray of my tooth and took several photographs of my tooth stating the doctor personally liked to have "before and after" shotsAfter sitting in the exam room for over minutes waiting for the doctor to fix my small chipped tooth, a tall woman with a clip board came into the room and asked me how I would be paying for the services for this visitI told her I had a Minnesota State Retirement Savings account that I would use once I was billedShe then told me I would need to pay $dollars that day for the servicesI advised her that I did not have that amount to pay on the day of, and that I would use my savings plan once billedThis woman was extremely rude as she interrupted me and stated I had a past overdue balance that also needed to be paidThat past amount was something that was covered by my insurance but they had not resolved, in over six months laterThis woman left the room, came back and said "We will not be able to provide any services to you today if you cannot pay the full amount." After sitting in the office for an hour, I was told they would not fix my tooth without full paymentI then left the dental officeI received another billing statement from Brook West Family Dentistry on 01/23/which not only showed the same past balance from July of 2016, but now I am being charged with an office visit for $and a single x-ray for $dollarsI was also charged interest and at least three late feesI contacted my insurance company, again today, I was advised that the claim has long been taken care of from my July visitMy insurance company advised that I only owed a small deductible feeI then contacted Brook West Family Dentistry about the new chargesI advised the woman in billing who I was speaking to, that I was told that no services would be provided to me without full payment during my January visit, yet I was billed for servicesThe woman I spoke with today, said that simply because they brought me to a room, and that the dental assistant chose to do a single x-ray, that I was still responsibleI told this woman, that I told the receptionist upon my visit, that I did not have dental insuranceIf they would have asked me about payment when I arrived at the office, they would have never done an x-ray or charged me for a visit, If they knew they wouldn't be fixing my tooth without a ridiculous amount of money paid immediatelyThis woman I spoke with today, argued with me and said that her notes showed that I "chose to not have services done and left"; rather than the fact that I was told I needed full payment up front and they refused to bill me for servicesThey were also using the prior balance against me, by assuming I wasn't paying my balance, when it was their delay in the first placeI have been battling this company for six months and now have to argue these ridiculous charges for services I did not receive based on my appointment
