It is not clear from the before photos that there was no damage to either fender before the vehicle was dropped off here for the over-extended period of time. The before photo is taken months prior to drop off. Even if the damage is not present in the photo there is no clear evidence that it occured in our parking lot. To file a claim with the building owners insurance the client can check with the Authority having jurisdiction over our property to contact the building owners insurance company. The passenger door lock was installed, yes, the customer did tell us he would do it himself, we removed the charges from the bill. The sliding door was messed up when the vehicle was delivered. Justin told me himself that he was going to have it fixed. The deposit does not come close to covering the lay out on the parts. The customer can keep the balance due and use it at his discretion to fix the vehicle or not. If the customer does not wish to keep the parts he can return them for full deposit refund: two lock cylinder plugs and cams for exterior compartments, one passenger door lock cylinder, cam, and connective clip, one sliding door latch body and handle

The truck was first brought down for assessment. Materials ordered, this took 1 week. (During which time the vehicle was in the customer’s possession). At the time of the assessment it was determined that 2 compartment locks were to be replaced, one sliding bulkhead door lock was missing, and one...

passenger door lock (was to be supplied and pinned to the customer's key). The truck was dropped off Thursday morning for repairs, we called Saturday morning to let the customer know that the truck was done (within 4* hrs.). The passenger door had body damage at the lock cylinder hole due to previous forced entry. We installed he passenger door lock against the wishes of the customer, as we were to provide and set it to the customer’s key only. Ok so it wasn’t perfect and the customer said he was going to install and repair it any way. Ok no problem, Deducted from the bill. The bulkhead door; this door was not sliding (let alone moving) when the vehicle was brought for assessment. Customer had specified that he was going to fix the track on his own and he just wanted us to supply and install the hardware on the door (as the strikes were already on the frame). This was completed with NEW materials, fasteners did not come with the materials so we used what we had. The desired function was for the door to latch, and not lock from either side. When I ordered the materials there was no option for a cover for the lock hole, nor did anyone have a handle without a lock hole in it, since it was a 12-14 year old work truck I didn’t think the customer would mind a hole in the handle as it would be fully functional, as a latching open and closed passage, upon his repairs to the track. Yes, we rekeyed the ignition lock to match the 2 doors, we did not, nor were we going to charge for this, and it was also completed within 4* hours of vehicle delivery. At the time of completion the customer said he would pick up the vehicle by the end of the week, when convenient. Upon customers return, 6 days later, he pointed out 2 dents on the driver’s fender, which he claimed were not there when he delivered the truck to us, nor when he purchased the vehicle days earlier. Then when checking out the sliding door the customer, in a RAGE, force / slammed the door open and knocked it off the tracks beyond potential repair, as we know it. At this time a third exterior compartment lock was pointed out as being broken, it was not shown to us at the initial assessment or vehicle drop off. At this time the customer was advised that we would check with the tech and the person who took in the job to see if anything could be done with the sliding door handle, and that all issues had been completed as per customer requests. The other complaint was that the handle did not have a cap or no hole at all, this was addressed above. Customer then was then advised as to cost of 40 to install a locking cylinder in the handle, as this was the only available option, and was in stock. (It would end up being a different key than the back door of the box truck). Over the July [redacted] weekend the customer took the vehicle from our premises parking lot on his own, and without notice, nor making payment for any additional materials or services completed above the 100$ deposit that was given before we ordered materials. The complete invoice came to 493.** with sales tax. Time line was as follows: Assessment 6/* Wed. Materials ordered 6/*. All came in Tuesday 6/**. Truck delivered 6/** (Thursday morn). Truck completed 6/** Saturday morning, customer called. Customer came to pick up van Friday at closing 6/**. Monday 6/**, customer notified of possibilities for slider handle. Sometime over the July [redacted] weekend, either Sunday the [redacted], or Monday the [redacted] the vehicle was picked up. Now after picking up the vehicle customer states that another dent has appeared while the vehicle was in our extended (not by our choice) possession. The parking lot is owned by the building from which we rent space. As for the customers desired settlement: we do not work on sliding bulkhead door tracks, nor did we break his. If he wants the dents repaired he can take it to a body shop and utilize the monies that he did not pay us for our services and materials. The vehicle sitting here for 17 or 18 days was not of our doing. With grace I absolve the customer of all debt due to the perceived damage that may or may not have occurred while the vehicle was in our extended possession. I will not pursue Riley the Roofer or Justin for the balance due.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:The truck is older, but in any vehicle I own I like to maintain meticulous. So the sliding door I put on the track prior to delivery. Told them it did not slide well due to needing adjustment but it was on the track. They installed the door handle on the door wrong. It did not even function properly. The door handle prevents the door from sliding back far enough to come off the track. I did not shove the door in a rage, I slapped the sidewall of the interior of the cab becuSe they are in denial of all problems. The lock is one thing. My vehicle being in there possession is another. There were 3 dents that were not there when I originally dropped off the truck to te time I removed it from there parking lot for good. In there possession there responsible for the property of others. I could not make it to there shop before closing due to my work schedule and there business schedule. So I got there as soon as I could. He degraded my truck by saying the quality of the job and materials shouldn't matter how they look because the truck is old. Nobody assumes someone does not care about there personal property. So I gave tem the option of fixing the dents and I'll pay the bill in full and it will be solved. They declined because they know that the damgage they caused to the truck will well exceed what I owe them. It's about $1200 of damage at a body shop. I have pictures of the truck prior to delivery and after pickup. If it was vandalism which was there excuse, I would imagine there truck that is parked right next to it would have like damages and them looking into there camera security system would have been a priority to help me resolve this issue. They declined that too. So here I am $100 deposit for a crappy job without responsibility and a $1200 body repair. And riley the roofer is no affiliate of this truck problem.

Who in there right mind thinks they hav to take pictures of there vehicle prior to a business working on it? Seriously!! Those were the pictures I had and clearly you can see those dents were not there. The drivers side dents clearly had a fresh  scuff mark above dent when I took the picture. The passenger side dent Im sure was intentional due to a heated conversation I had with the manager. No sharp object hit that side, there's no paint chipped or scratches. It is directly at shoulder height and fits perfect if someone angry from a bad conversation dropped a shoulder into my front fender. It's clearly sometiing that happened Im there parking lot where they tried to dismiss the whole issue right off the bat. They refused to look at the security cameras. And denied every part of it. They first said vandalism, which there truck was parked right in front of mine the whole time. Doubt it was vandalism. Now there trying to say it never even happened on there property. I know how I brought my truck to them. It was far from the way it was when it left. As far as this dispute and trying to get them to fix it, that's not my intention. I knew from the day I mebtioned it to them when I found the first dents they weren't going to take responsibility for what happened while the vehicle was in there care. This complaint is so other thinking about using the locksmiths can see what type of integrity and quality they find to be suitable, I mean considering my truck is a 10 year old work truck shouldn't make a difference. My vehicles are maintained and kept well. The whole point to bring it to them was to better it. The door inside was not functioning 100%, but I cleary stated to the owner tHt the door needed to be adjusted and I will do thT. But I put the door back on the track prior to delivering to them because I knew the latch keeps the door from rolling back far enough to come off the track once installed. Now he says it was messed up prior to me bringing it, when before he stated that I hit the door off the tracks when I looked at the truck. You can see his story changes to his discretion and mine states the same thing over and over. I would not be dealing with the hassle of this dispute if I was not being truthful. This happened to me, I'm not seeking repairs nor $. I just want other consumers to see my problem and use there judgement prior to letting it happen to them. As far as the deposit, the latch looked used and the hardware was odd bolts he had and it was missing and cylindrr. For $275 I would think a door handle comes complete. So therefore I've seen this handle in same condition with all parts on eBay for $50 and a lock cylinder they onstalled is $40 each rekeyed and installed. There a business and making profit to run a business on these prices. So Im sure the deposit by far covered there materials.
