The worst office staff you can imagine! Do NOT live here! There is no visitor parking without office approval, constant flooding, and maintenance issues. They pressure you into re-signing your lease after jacking up your rates. Very unhappy.

I expect full repayment for all damages done to my vehicle from their negligence. On Sun, Feb 22, 2015 at 8:16 AM, wrote:I rent and reside at Brookhill Townhomes on [redacted]. Last Saturday about 830pm a rotted tree fell down on several vehicles. The worst damaged was mine. I sent an email, left messages, and tried the emergency number for residents. I was clear in the fact my back window was completely smashed and my car was open to elements. This is managed/owned by [redacted]. I spoke to a man Sunday on the emergency number and again repeated my concern. Nothing at all, the big branches and limbs and broken glass were all over the parking area. I couldn't see exactly how much damage had been done I couldn't move my vehicle. I have taken pictures of this. Finally, a business from Youngsville came out and started setting up to remove the branches then one man came over and they gathered their equipment and just left. So now its been two nights with my vehicle left open to the very cold temperatures, and a group came out Monday morning to remove the branches, they supposedly do not understand English as I tried to ask them who they worked for or the name of their company. I had a[redacted], I had purchased it new in 2004, and only have had liability insurance on it because it was paid for. They don't cover this damage, I received an estimate for the damages and because of the year and the damages it is considered totaled. I had stopped at the office and spoke with the manager on the phone. [redacted] told me the company doesn't have insurance to cover this. This area where the tree came down is a common area, there is another tree not far from the one which came down waiting to come down. I am a responsible tenant and would think they are to maintain a safe and clear of any dangers, especially, obvious ones, parking area. When the crew finally cleaned the branches and left there was still many small branches and broken glass all over the parking area. The inadequate parking spaces has been an issue already, now we, the tenants were even more limited. My email is [redacted] and my phone number is [redacted], I look forward to hearing from Revdex.com as to what I can do. I have tried unsuccessfully to find an attorney but was told because of the amount involved they don't wish to take the case. If I pursuit this on my own, it would involve me having to change or find someone to switch shifts with me, this could jeopardize my job. Thank you so much for your time.Desired Settlementto pay for repairs to my carBusiness Response On Saturday, February 14, I received a call and text with photographs around 9:30pm from the Property Manager of Brook Hill Townhomes concerning a down tree during a storm with severe winds. I, in turn, called two emergency disaster companies and a tree professional (all who we have worked with previously) to see who could get to the property the quickest. After speaking to all, one of the companies agreed to visit the property that night to see if they could remove the branches/tree; however the conditions were unsafe to do so during the storm. One large section of the tree fell toward the parking lot and unfortunately onto your car and the other portion fell toward the building but hung in the neighboring tree. Early Sunday, I talked to all three companies again and arranged for the tree service to be performed by a professional tree company for removal. The property paid for the tree service for removal as well as the additional expense to remove all the debris the storm created throughout the property. Also earlier this year proposals were received for pruning, raising the canopy of trees near sidewalks, stump removal, etc. to be performed within the community and this tree was not identified as a dead/diseased tree needing removal. There was no neglect or knowledge to determine or prevent the damage. I am so sorry, that you experienced any damage or inconvenience. Unfortunately, I hope you understand that acts of nature cannot be predicted and the damage to your personal property would not be covered by the property's insurance.Consumer Response The debris is still in the parking area. In consideration of my neighbors, I have tried to clean it up. My vehicle was not the only one damaged. My vehicle was left open to the elements for two nights. until Monday morning. how convenient. This tree was weak and rotted looking. North Carolina law clearly states all common areas are to be kept clear and safe of all/any debris. I was without a vehicle for three days and twodays was because the two large branches on my car were not removal by myself. I do not think it unjust to expect responsibility for this. Yes the wind did help assist with the falling of the tree, but had it been taking care of previously might of been prevented.
