Review: I contacted the company after searching the yellow pages. I was informed that I would have to provide my credit card information prior to anyone going to the premises where the work was to be performed. I subsequently received a call from a technician who was at the property. I asked him what the estimate would be and he stated $500. I told him that was an outrageous sum to repair and or replace an apartment entrance door lock to forget the job. He then stated maybe around $300. I told him to cure the problem. I inquired of the tenant if he left an invoice the tenant informed me that he did not leave an invoice and did a non professional job, leaving a gaping hole in the molding surrounding the lock. I called the office and requested an invoice which [redacted] promised to e-mail me. I then checked my credit card and it showed I was billed by the company for $200 for the work and new lock. A couple days later I still did not receive any invoice as promised to my e-mail. I then observed that the [redacted] had changed the billing amount to my credit card to $300. I called the company and spoke to [redacted] and inquired what is going on that the first bill of $200 for the work was inflated as the lock cost at retail is $26.99 at [redacted] and to inflate the charge to $300 was a rip off and larceny.Desired Settlement: I would be satisfied with a realistic non inflated price for the work performed and material around $150 total.
