Worst moving company ever. I am suing them for millions of dollars. The receptionists harras me and threaten to sell my belongings and never call me back. I missed the delivery time due to severe illness and hospitalization right before the delivery. They made it clear they wanted to never cooperate so I am reporting them to the federal government for extortion and fraud. I never hired them. I hired *** which then outsourced to this lame company that will never do business ever again after they are heavily fined. I need to find the DOT number for this company, but they never call me back. Who else can I talk to? I have not seen my own bed in over a month and I broke my back last year and suffer from migraines. They have all of my organic cooking supplies and all of my precious belongings. They absolutely disgust me when I have medical disabilities and I am on medical leave with a tight budget.

Horrible service . highly unrecommended .
Not Honest at all . it has been 1 month and my shipment is still at pick up destination.

Brooklyn Moving Inc was contracted to move us from MN to WA after we used an online moving service to help us find a mover. (Lesson learned -- won't be doing that again.) It's in your absolute best interest to NOT hire this company unless you want to pay double the original quote and then have your items held at the destination for more money.
The packing crew was a nice group of people who arrived 7 hours late. They had no masks, no gloves as we were told they would. At midnight, when the truck was loaded, we were told the move would cost us double because we had more square footage than originally quoted. We agreed because we thought that there would be no additional charges upon arrival. Plus, the stuff was loaded, we were exhausted, and we needed to leave the next day.
The truck arrived with an 18 hour notice (we didn't even know the truck was enroute as there was no communication from customer service, just a text that they were still "working on it" or a reminder that they had up to 21 days to get us our stuff.) Unloading day arrived, and the driver informed us his truck wouldn't fit in our loading dock and he needed to charge us extra to get us our belongings in a smaller truck. He claimed it would be $1300, then $1,000, then $850. We took the $850 because we felt we had no option; we needed our things and were worried we may not see them at all. He (one person to move everything?) arrived in a U Haul and demanded payment. My family helped unload the truck because we knew ONE PERSON would be unable to do so in a timely manner. (The boxes were dented beyond recognition and nothing was labeled, BTW) Considering it took four of us three hours each to move, I believe this company owes us each, at the very least, reimbursement for our time and labor. We planned on helping, but we contracted Brooklyn Moving to deliver "door to door professional service."
Save yourself a massive headache and a lot of cash and DO NOT use this company.

I’ve used many moving companies but none was compared to Brooklyn moving! Moving from California to New York was tough but they were awesome from start to finish. I want to send a special thanks to the great team for helping me during my move. I recommend

Where do I even begin with this review?
I worked with a broker who linked me with Brooklyn Moving. Originally I was quoted $2600 for 1 bedroom plus a motorcycle. Mind you, the bedroom is LITERALLY a bedroom, no kitchen, no living room.
Bedframe, nightstand, large mirror, desk, dresser and boxes of items.
The movers show up 3 hours LATER than the window they originally gave and before they can even move anything, they tell me that it is going to be double the price for the amount of items. So now I am spending over 4k for A BEDROOM OF FURNITURE AND A MOTORCYCLE.
THEN! They tell me they can’t take the bike because they have the incorrect truck and won’t be able to get it into the truck. But they ASSURED ME that they would “pick up between 9pm-12am that evening”. Low and behold, they didn’t show up. The foreman stopped picking up my calls, customer support never called me back. So 8am the next day, I am hounding customer support and the foreman to get an answer. Mind you I needed to leave at 5am to start my journey across country, which I ended up having to delay a full day because of this fiasco.
Finally get a hold of customer support midday, they tell me they can’t even pick up until the following day. Told me that it would be fine to leave the bike outside and my roommate could just sign off. However, I didn’t trust that they would even pick it up given they LOVE to make false promises. Since I am a resourceful woman, I decided to hell with Brooklyn Moving and hired a different logistics company that was able to pick up day of and delivered ALL before I even got my items from Brooklyn Moving at my east coast address. (This is a different story in itself, please keep reading)
Note that BM only offered to give me $100 off if I kept moving the bike with them. Which I laughed at. At this point, I didn’t trust they would pick up the bike that I am leaving on the side of the street in a metropolitan city, let alone even pack it correctly. So again, decided no way they would move the item for me and went with someone else. They did refund me the “bulky item fee” and for the space, totaling about $500 but still my move cost way more than what it would cost with someone else to move an ENTIRE APARTMENT.
PLUS, the entire organization is so disorganized. Every person I talked to, I had to tell them where to find the note of my correct balance owed on delivery.
Let’s fast forward to the day of delivery. Two guys show up 3 hours LATER than the window they originally gave, one wearing flip flops and the other with an attitude problem.
They unpack my belongings and I am told to review and sign. Guess what was missing? MY ENTIRE QUEEN SIZE MATTRESS plus an imperative piece of my bed frame. They tried to pawn off some other person’s mattress with blood stains on it.
They have not returned my calls on filing a claim for the missing pieces. I have now had to replace my mattress and bed frame! Costing me even MORE money. No telling if I will get either the pieces or money back.
If you value your time, your belongings and your sanity, save yourself…don’t use this company. This company is a joke.
The amount of emotional and mental stress is unreal at this point. I would have been better off using a uhaul and driving across country myself.

Our customer service manager contacted Ms. about the motorcycle, which was offered to pick up the next day with a $100 discount, she declined so we discounted the cubic feet (50cf) and the bulky item fee totaling the discount to $437.5. We will have our customer service manager contact you in regards to your missing items. We will look for them in our warehouse, if we do not find them please fill out the necessary forms for your claims that was sent by ***, one of our customer service staff. To bad I can not give 0 stars! All I need to say is "Stay away from this moving company if you value your belongings.
Let me start from the beginning. I was scheduled to have my stuff picked up on March 27 or 28th. They were to notify me 3 days before arrival.
Within the 3 days of the moving date, I did not receive a call, so I called them.Nobody answered.So I called them again the next day, no response.On the 26th I called them and they said someone will be there tomorrow,the 27th. So much for the 3 days heads-up!

During the initial conversation, the rep on the other side asked what date will I like my stuff delivered. I mentioned that I would like my items delivered on April 2nd. The rep said sure,no problem.

Now when the movers show up,he sits down and says the the delivery date will not be on April 2nd but most likely a week or more later.WTF!
He says this is because my stuff will be a shared move. Sharing with another customers items.
Then he says, if this is not ok, to cancel the move. How am I going to NOW cancel the move when everything is ready to go.

Don't lie to me upfront about the delivery date, and the fact that you did not mention shared moving is sneaky and deceiving.

So my stuff is packed up and is in route. Everyday I would receive a text from the company stating " A courtesy notification. Which basically says how much to pay when the truck driver arrives.

Then the truck arrives on the the 9th of April, the guys unload the truck and are ready to leave. I look on the ground and my BBQ grill is in multiple pieces, like it fell off the ramp. I said what happened to my grill and his statement was,"you have the screws right?" It took all I had to hold back from choking this guy out.

So they drive off and I proceed to take pictures of the damaged BBQ.
I then send the pictures to their support rep,Marisa, who just earlier sent me a "courtesy notification".
No response.
I unwrapped my bed headboard and it to is damaged. I unwrap my 55" tv and it is cracked.I sent pictures to Marissa, no response.
Now mind you, I have been receiving daily "courtesy notification". Now that they have been paid,no more communications from the sleazeballs.
As I have not opened all of my boxes, I'm pretty sure I will see more damaged goods.

I just want to warn everyone about this company. I am absolutely floored that anyone had a good experience with them. To begin with I had a phone consultation with an employee from the Brooklyn Moving Inc and I went from room to room measuring and counting and going over everything that I had for for the move. I was given what I thought was a great price for the move from California to Virginia. I noticed that the contract that they sent me had the incorrect amounts and sizes of the boxes that I had. I emailed them immediately and was told no problem it is all good. Three days before my move I get a phone call from them and they say that it is going to be another$ 2,500.00 because I have more stuff. I did not add anything new. The employee who I was working with messed all of the totals up and now it was going to be more money and they wanted it now. Also in the contract it states that they were transporting the stuff to Virginia and putting it in a storage facility there. They now say that they are not doing that and that they are keeping in their storage facility in Vallejo. I called and talked to the owner of the company who was acting very irrational on the phone and he informs me that the employee who helped me was fired and that he has been handling many phone calls from customers because of it. I just wanted him to honor the price on the contract and moving the stuff to a storage facility in Virginia like the contract said. After talking to the owner for some time on the phone we realized something was not right. The owner said to me and my husband that he had had some drinks. We were floored and went from wanting him to honor the contract, to cancelling the move and wanting our deposit back. What makes this all the worse is that this is happening during this pandemic. I asked for my deposit back multiple and he has refused to return it. This whole experience was a complete nightmare and I hope that anyone who wants to use Brooklyn Moving Inc thinks twice, because you will definitely regret it.

My experience with ***, the customer service representative handling my move with Brooklyn movers Inc, was the absolute best, the greatest customer service rep I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with! From day one she was polite, very professional, very respectful and very articulate. *** made me feel worry-free throughout the whole process. This was the first time I've ever used a moving service of any kind. *** explained everything to me step-by-step.. it's like she held my hand the whole way from the west coast to the east coast. Thank you ***. You are an Exceptional Person and a Great Customer Service Representative. All Brooklyn Moving Inc employees should lead by your example!

I moved from Sacramento CA to Atlanta honestly I was very nervous about the move and I though it will cost me a fortune to go. I hired AAA and they subcontracted Brooklyn moving and I am so glad with my move. My movers packed everything walked me through the process and paperwork which I am very meticulous about I had a 4 bedroom so my move was kind of big but the house was packed and loaded in no time. 1 week later I got a call asking about my availability and confirming I was ready for delivery and a few days later my items were on the road. Took a little more than I expected to arrive but I got all my items there were 2 broken plates but it could have been worse over all I was happy with my move and would recommend.

I had a great move I was a little nervous and doubtful at first as the price was suspiciously low compared to other companies as my budget was very tight I crossed my fingers and scheduled the move. They came on time and were very respectful started packing things and they were very professional a few days later I got a follow up call and my delivery was scheduled. Had a missing headboard I called customer service and it was redelivered in 3 weeks free of charge took a little long but cant expect more for a head board at least it arrived in one piece. Over all very satisfied.

I moved from Minnesota to NYC. I had a lot of items to move I expected they would need more than 1 day to pack my things and load it. The movers came early and took only a few hours to pack, rap and load all my things I was amazed how fast and prof. they all worked together. Even my glass an fragile items were all securely rapped. a few days after I got a follow up call asking if I was ready for delivery and my items arrived in 18 days with no damages I am very pleased with my move.

I moved from MN to NC. My movers packed my things they were nice and polite. My final price after the truck was loaded went up as I added some more items but I expected that over all price was reasonable within my research range. Unfortunately for me the regulations and my road was too narrow for a truck I needed a shuttle service thats costs me extra but the items arrived complete and no damages.

I move from Minnesota to Texas After we got our estimate from a broker, we were contracted with Brooklyn moving. I spoke to Kristine *** At first, I was a little hesitant because The price went up by $1000.00 when they had given me the revised estimate with discounts (which was a little high). I told them that I would have to think about it and if it were possible I would move with them. I tried to get a live estimate with another company and the price was $2300 over my original estimate! I called Brooklyn moving right back and they delivered my items after a month of storage. Good deals and great crew. Awesome job would recommend them

Brooklyn Moving Inc is most definitely the company for the job.
Firstly, they were on time to my property in downtown Manhattan to New Jersey (and by on time I mean 5 to 10 minutes early, that is just how I see things). I’m so glad it’s door to door!
They provided a clean and spacious pick up truck and van (I’m not very familiar with the names for the types of cars around here, I am still getting used to the slang/lingo).
I was happy with the way the movers handled my very valuable and some personal items with care.

Every one of them were really nice and warm whilst transporting my goods and furniture etc…
In fact, I forgot to add in that the whole quoting and contacting of their services was also very smooth for me, I did not find it difficult to get in touch throughout the whole experience, It was pleasant and there were barely any complications…The only time there was a complication was when a couple of my items were a bit damaged by the rain on the day.
They tried their best to get it in before time but it was too late. And now because of this they gave a me a 25% discount off of my price for the moving experience which I really appreciated.
My mother and I were able to keep track of everything whilst driving behind them in our tiny car (they even offered to drive us all the way there but we wanted the move to be all at once and we did not want the hassle of coming all the way back just to pick up our car).

My valuable items were not damaged and they were kept safe on the bumpy ride, I was surprised nothing broke because the journey had some potholes here and there, haha!
It was rather reasonably priced anyway so it was not a bother, especially with the hospitality it came with.
Other companies I’ve used the service of seem to always be in a rush (I don’t blame them though), they make everything seem insignificant and therefore things are not handled with care and it all just spirals downwards. But with Brooklyn Moving Inc things are not treated like just another task, it looks like they want to be on the job. I really appreciate that.
I would recommend them to the public and specifically New York because this is their base (of course!), they know their way around the city and that absolutely helps with getting around faster and moving in quicker to my new home.

This company will show up at your door with a truck too small to move you. Then double your original estimate and hold your property hostage. Do not use them!

They say the only thing as stressful as death is a move... I'm rather inexperienced with both. When I find out that my job would be transferring me, I didn't know where to begin with the moving process. I started talking to my parents and their friends and asked what was most important in the whole process. They reiterated time and time again that I needed to make a full inventory list of my belongings and that I needed to be present, observing the whole time.... as these are my most cherished belongings. I wanted a company that could make me feel a little bit at ease--assuage my anxieties if you will. I wanted them to treat all of my things as if they were their own.
After asking around by word of mouth, I began to look online to see which companies were the most recommended. Brooklin Moving INC came up time and time again. The next morning I called. I began the call by rambling and I knew that the lady on the other end could tell that I was a bit nervous. She immediately put my anxieties at ease and then proceeded to talk me through the whole process. This was the first time I felt like I KNEW I had chosen the right company.
As the day of the move approached, I found my anxieties about it once again rising. The second time that I felt as if I KNEW I chose the right company was when all of the workers arrived 5-10 minutes early. I observed as they wrapped and packed everything and I watched them wrap my dishes in my kitchen towels. The professionalism was uncanny. Everyone was polite and professional. If any workers were unsure of how to label the boxes, they made sure to ask which I very much appreciated - I had read/heard in my research that this would be a problem. When I arrived at my new home, I observed all of the furniture in its exact correct location and in every room, there was a line of boxes stacked neatly along the wall. This was the third time I KNEW I chose the right company.
As the days passed, I unpacked and as I had observed, all boxes WERE labeled correctly. Furthermore, with the inventory I had made, I could be completely certain that not a single item was either damaged or missing. The cherry on top of the cake was when the price I was billed was almost exact to that price which I was quoted.
They say there is a first for everything and this was both my first time moving and my first experience with Brooklyn moving company. If anyone finds themselves in a similar position, I highly recommend checking out this company. A lot of businesses have robots that answer all of the phones and it might take you up to 15 minutes to talk to a real actual human person. When I called Brooklyn Moving Co. It was apparent they were different because a human answered on the third ring and as aforementioned, she immediately began to assuage my anxieties.

After getting quotes from several moving companies, I decided to go with Brooklyn Moving Inc. for my recent transition from the suburbs into the city. In addition to offering me the most affordable quote, they were also extremely accommodating over the phone. The person I spoke to walked me through the process (as I had never used a moving company before) and reassured me that my belongings would be in good hands. Moving can be stressful and they did everything they could to reduce my anxieties.
On the morning my move was scheduled for, several of their movers arrived on time and ready to get things done. They wrapped and packed everything in my apartment quickly and with ease. I did not feel that any of my things were in danger of breaking or being damaged as they packed their truck. Additionally, the movers were polite and professional throughout the entire process and made sure to keep me up to date on their progress. All of my boxes were labeled with either the contents or room they belonged in. If they were unsure of how to label a box, they made sure to ask rather than leaving me to guess later down the road.
Later that day, I was pleasantly surprised when my belongings were promptly delivered to my new apartment. The movers placed all of my furniture where I asked them to, and neatly stacked all of my boxes in the appropriate rooms. None of the boxes were crushed or ripped, which was a great first sign. None of my furniture was noticeably damaged other than the usual wear and tear from years of use. Payment went smoothly and I was billed only slightly more than the price I was quoted.
Upon closer inspection when unpacking later that evening and the following several days, I was highly impressed by how thorough the movers at Brooklyn Moving Inc. were when packing my belongings. All of my fragile items were wrapped individually and boxed neatly. They even made use of my kitchen towels to help ensure none of my plates cracked, which I found to be quite creative. The way each box was packed made setting up my new apartment as stress-free as something like that could possibly be. Having each box labeled also made it easy to find things quickly throughout the week, as it was a while before I could find the time to fully unpack.
After reading several moving tips online, I had decided to create a general inventory list to ensure nothing got lost in transition, complete with several dozen photos. I recommend anyone who is moving to do the same. Nothing appeared to be missing, and all of my valuables were accounted for. Even though everyone who came into contact with my belongings came off as trustworthy, having the inventory list gave me peace of mind.
I highly recommend using Brooklyn Moving Inc. for your next move. All of their employees demonstrated professionalism and expertise from start to finish and they truly made the process simple and stress-free. Five stars!

All of the things that I own are not cheap by a long shot and I always make sure that I take care of what is mine (even when I am not around them). So trying to find some people that could move all of my stuff to where I need them to go and doing it carfully while treating them like their own was my number one priority on my list with this situation. The first I asked in my head was about finding out who in this world that is nearby to me that a great majority of people will without a doubt say they trust with everything that they own and care about. I came across some people that were moving companies but I found it alarming at all of the bad reviews that were given. I have seen so many bad reviews on different sites, to the point that I was about to give up and just simply put trust into my younger brothers and the only reason why was because nobody else knows how much I paid for my stuff and how much I care about them all. It was a great thing that I had the opportunity to find out exactley what good service is supposed to be like. Even when I did have cheap things that brought me no joy at all that I used to have to tote around my city to city, I know for a fact that I still would not have met a company out here quite like this one. It seems like, for a long period out of my life and especially through childhood, just about every place I went to it was either some person that got robbed for some stuff or some person that was trying to do the robbing. After seeing how many good things people had to say about Brooklyn Moving Inc, I had no choice but to join the team and jump on the bandwagon of customers that felt like they were right where they needed to be when it comes to who they choose to move their prized possessions or not. At first, before really giving anyone my money, I called about thirteen different moving companies just to see what the customer service was like. Oh yeah, I was this serious about the things I worked hard to pay for. Most of the companies sounded like robots and from the movies I have seen, robots have no emotions so I was trying to find a company that let me know they cared about their customers and their belongings. Out of every one of these companies, there was only one that really proved to me that they were worthy of earning MY hard earning cash. So I called then again, talked to the same person, and it was like the good customer service came automatically. I cannot believe I really chose right the first time. All of my stuff has been moved and everything is alright now.
