My wife and I have been vacationing on Okaloosa Island for more than yearsWe have rented a condo in ETW many times and we have stayed in Unit *** at least once beforeWe have always enjoyed our stays at ETW until this most recent trip
We rented (ETW *** through VRBO located directly on the Gulf from September 19th, to September 26th, We were not informed of any problems with the condo prior to checking in At chewe were told the refrigerator was working perfectly and we should ignore the error code displayed on control panel of the refrigerator and not to call them about itWe were also not informed that the porch looking out at the Gulf was in a state of disrepairWe found that out after entering the condo (we have pictures)
We found the refrigerator was not working properly and Brooks and Shorey refused to fix itThey also thought we should not have a problem with the jack posts holding up the porch above *** and blocking the view of the GulfOr that there there were small pieces of the exposed and decaying structure above the porch on *** falling onto the porch on *** Brooks and Shorey cancelled our reservation and told we had minutes to leave
The unit next door (XXXX) was available (also managed by Brooks and Shorey)We booked this condo through VBRO and tried to check inBrooks and Shorey refused to allow us to check in, leaving my wife, my wife's sister who had flown in to Fort Walt Beach Airport, and me stranded with no place to stay
