Review: Went to Brooks GMC to service a speedometer problem that required replacement of the dash cluster. First part received was bad and had to wait until a replacement was sent. Cluster replaced with other minor work; all paid for. After repair, every 3rd or 4th start, the check 4-wheel drive light came on but cleared immediately after restart. Reported it to Nick the Service Consultant and he told me it would be checked and repaired and to please come in the next time it happened without restarting the truck. Very soon after that conversation, I went on a long planned trip for two-weeks and upon returning found the truck battery completely dead; this was the first time that I ever had a battery issue and, the battery is only about 18-24 months old. AAA charged the battery and I returned to Brooks GMC but found that Nick no longer worked there. The service manager (smoking while talking with me) stated that the cluster may not be the problem and even if it was, I'd need to pay for labor to fix it. I asked what I should do and, that I don't think it's right to pay for the same repair twice. He said he'd check on it and call me and tell me what they will do. Two weeks have past and, I have received NO CONTACT. Since then, I have driven the truck but it has sat idle for the last 5-6 days and is now completely dead again. I called the dealership twice to speak with the General Manager but, the operator said he was busy so I left two messages; he failed to return my calls. There were no problems like this with the battery or the check 4-wheel drive light prior to Brooks replacing the dash cluster. My truck is dead in front o my house and Brooks GMC will not talk to me or correct the issue. Assistance is needed form the Revdex.com now. Since the Service Manager has already dismissed any responsibility by Brooks GMC, I am very skeptical and concerned about the honesty and accountability of this shop. Furthermore, no return call from either the Service or General Manager indicates to me that they do not desire to stand behind their work or honestly try to correct the situation.Desired Settlement: Brooks should get the truck to the dealership and repair the problem. Discuss what I need to pay for after determining if it's a bad cluster (again), poor workmanship, mistakes by the mechanic, or a new issue before telling me I need to pay for labor or anything else.
