RE Case: [redacted] [redacted]
I personally apologize to [redacted] for the misunderstanding that led to this dispute. I was unaware that...

the Funeral Director that met with and arranged the Memorial Service for Mrs. [redacted] had scheduled for that day and promised [redacted] the larger lounge space. This was a miscommunication on my and the staff's part. Had I known when making arrangements with the second family I would have honored the Mr. [redacted] request for the lounge space..
I unfortunately never got meet Mr. [redacted] in person but was able to speak to his daughter and her husband earlier in the day.-Since the second family's service hebegu.n at 2:00 PM and the [redacted] family's visitation did not begin .until 4:00 PM I did decide to leave both families lounge space as it was. I noted how upset Mr. [redacted]'s daughter and her husband were over the situation when I first spoke to the around 1:00 PM. Again, I never personally spoke to Mr. [redacted] but his daughter and her husband.
I understand Mr. [redacted] has requested a "refund" as part of the desired resolution. After reviewing the contract which was signed on June 21, 2016, I see that the Funeral Director had initially given, as a courtesy to the family, a discount of [redacted] Normally our charge for visitation is [redacted] and out charge for a funeral service (separate days) is [redacted] Mr. [redacted] was only charged [redacted] for BOTH days. I also must state that thebill is not yet paid and our contract terms are as follow: Net due 30 days. As a courtesy to Mr. [redacted] I am willing to forgo any and all late fees/penalties if the bill is paid in a timely fashion to help alleviate this dispute.
The lounge space that was given to Mr. [redacted], although smaller, served the purpose and I was told by staff that Mr. Lita-veces.son-in-law did state that the lounge issue "did not matter as much as they thought it would". Again, it was not the space promised to [redacted] and for that I apologize. We strive to serve our families with the care and dignity they deserve and I know that the myself and the Funeral Director that served the [redacted] family have lost sleep knowing that this situation has made it harder for [redacted] during his time of mourning. I wish the [redacted] family all the best and will keep them in my prayers during this difficult time
