Work needed: clogged kitchen sink
Our kitchen sink got clogged up when we got home from work. The two bathroom showers + bathroom sinks linked to it were still working great.
I got the phone number from my neighbor, called early in the morning and got an afternoon appointment. The plumber, in his 60s, well dressed, came at the appointment time. He even came in with a bath towel to line the sink cabinet, and a large carton box to sit his 2 plumbing machines on the floor. Not a very wordy man though.
He worked on it for half an hour, but couldn't resolve the problem. He said he couldn't pass the snake through a corner. This is all in the wall because our drain beneath the sink was OK.
So he cleaned up the floor and the cabinet for another 10min, apologized that he couldn't help, and he did not charge me, even when I offered to pay. (I asked for the rate before he came, it was about $100s, if it's not major kitchen sink work).
That's rare integrity, high professional ethics .
I think he almost got through it though, because the other plumber worked on it for 10min and got it.","pos-1
