Poor Service Spanning 34 Years
Folks, my service experiences with Evergreen Mortuary over the years have been so poor that there is nothing they can do to retain me as a Customer. I just wanted to document their shabby treatment in my case.
My first contact with the mortuary was to organize cremation of my father after he died in July, 1982. At the time the counselor was insisting that I purchase an expensive brass urn when all I wanted was the least expensive cremations container available. She finally agreed after I told her I wanted to talk to her supervisor. Later, after my mother died in September, 1985 I returned to the mortuary to arrange for her cremation and open a case for myself (Case [redacted]). Fast forward to April, 2016. The wallet card was faded and frayed; my wishes had changed. I visited the mortuary in person and, after a lengthy search, a staffer retrieved my file. I then sat with the staffer, marked up my summary sheet with all the changes I wanted, and asked the young though inexperienced (in my view, anyway) woman, to mail me a copy with a new wallet card. After a month with no action, I contacted the mortuary using their online form. I got a call from a man claiming to be the General Manager who assured me that everything would be corrected and offered to have my card delivered. I said that was not necessary, just mail it to me with a copy of the form. More time passed with no action. I called the mortuary and got a royal run around from the staffer who answered the phone. I was told that I had never visited their office. That did it. After stewing over this treatment for some time, and being in poor health, I decided to submit this complaint and find another mortuary. Hopefully, this detailed complaint will help lower their Revdex.com grade from A to something much lower.
