Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/02/17) */
I am truly sorry that Mr. [redacted] had a negative experience at the flea market. We do at the POS, as well as have posted that all sales are final. This is the nature of a flea market, as individual vendors are selling through us...
He did...

quote the recall laws incorrectly, in that appliances are not affected by this CPSIA law of recalls. This is only applicable to specific things, appliances not one of them.
At this time we stand by our decision to deny a refund as it is appropriate. Sincerely, [redacted]
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2016/02/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have contact the Consumer Product Safety Commission the same time I submitted this, it has been forwarded to Compliance officer Blake Rose who handled this specific recall. If I have somehow read the CPSC website wrong then I apologize, but no where do I see appliances are excluded that's insane. Me as a human being with compassion for others would never sell something that was recalled and could endanger the lives of others. The pamphlet I printed does not tell me appliances are excluded. I do not believe I read them wrong as they are easy to understand really. They are also made specifically for this type of business and that ignorance is no excuse, that's also printed by page 3 I think. Now it doesn't in the examples section show appliances but if you read it all and look into the laws it does apply. Now Dirla also told me they had people look at it to see if it could be fixed so I also believe they new about the recall and did not want to deal with it, you someone else's problem. But knowing it was recalled and reselling it in your consignment store is against the law from what I read. I am not at all satisfied with this response and at least deserve to be shown where I am wrong in writing from the same CPSC website. I provided the documents and guidelines they can do the same. I will also be forwarding this complaint to the compliance officer.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2016/02/18) */
It is obvious that you only are willing to accept a total refund, and that is not what we have offered. I did read the CPSC web site regarding recalls, and while appliances are not specifically exempted, they are not included under this recall regulation you referenced.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2016/02/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I will await the commission officials response, we both feel we are right but he will be the only one to resolve this issue. I have read quite a bit before I even brought it to the company's attention. I don't think this is worth the amount of money invested and even went with the intention to help. I spent a couple days researching and still have all the relevant information saved to my phone showing any recalled item is unlawful to sell if recalled by CPSC or the manufacturer. If I am wrong in this I read on the CPSC website and multiple legal sites dealing with recalls. I am familiar with recalls and how important it is to follow guidelines. In my job I am responsible for quality control and holding recalled products if needed. To me I didn't think I would see my money any way, I figured I would turn the stove into a smoker and take the $139 dollar loss. It's about that I tried to help and what I got was that $139 is worth more than what could have happened if the stove come on by itself and burned my family to death. Now I'll be honest this is what the stove was recalled for but it did not harm anyone thankfully but it did cause fires and if not recalled would have harmed or killed. I personally am thankful, granted if I have read the laws right which I believe I did. I usually over do my research from what my wife tells me. I will never the less apologize and retract my review here if the CPSC official says I am wrong but if I am right then this situation should have been handled a lot different from the company's side. I was avoided and never had a call returned. I had to continuously call back and wait in the store in hopes of speaking face to face and then avoided yet again that time not to mention hauling the stove back and forth for two days while being avoided. Maybe $139 would have been easier to give back if someone got hurt.
