We at BGCC always do our best to please our customers as word-of-mouth recommendations are how we do businessIt is unfortunate in this instance that Ms [redacted] is having issues with the ceilingsWe have followed industry-standard repair processesIt is not standard to retape and refinish the joints when doing a ceiling texture projectTo do so would unnecessarily add costs to the Owner for their projectThe assessment at the time was that the taped joints were in good conditionsIf we saw any evidence of loose taped joints, we would have brought it to the attention of the homeowner and made the necessary repairs

We stand behind our response, #on the contract signed by Mr*** clearly stated that we do not warranty against future cracking. Our offer to attempt to fix the problem at additional cost still stands. I am rejecting this response because: Brothers construction did come out and look at the issue however *** stated he simply would not fix my Garage ceiling I did not mention I wanted the whole job done over I just would like to have it repaired *** told me he would redo my restroom at a reduced price and I decline

it. The work area was the garage where we did put up knockdown texture.  Because most garages are not temperature controlled we cannot guarantee against future cracking as houses are framed with wood that shifts and swells as they age and humidity changes.  As you will see in the complaint it was several months later that Mr. [redacted] contacted us at which time we did go out and take a look at it to ensure it was not a workmanship issue.  If Mr. [redacted] wants to have us redo the work there will be an additional charge for which we still cannot warrantee against cracking.  I have attached a copy of our standard contract that we sign with all customers.  On page 2, Item 6 you will see that we clearly do not warranty against cracking.  I have attached a copy of the actual contract signed by Mr. [redacted].Whenever I’ve received any notification that a customer is dissatisfied I always investigate the situation and try to resolve the issue with the customer in an amicable manner.[redacted]Brothers Group Construction Company[redacted]

joints when doing a ceiling texture project. To do so would unnecessarily add costs to the Owner for their project. The assessment at the time was that the taped joints were in good conditions. If we saw any evidence of loose taped joints, we would have brought it to the attention of the homeowner and made the necessary repairs.

We are willing to repair the crack at an additional cost.  We cannot control or guarantee against future cracking due to the variables such as humidity, structural issues, settling, etc.  It was clearly stated in the contract signed by both the customer and Brothers Group Construction Company that we cannot warranty against future cracking.

I am rejecting this response because: On January 6 , I spoke with [redacted] at Brothers Construction. She said that [redacted] was sending out [redacted] from [redacted]s drywall to look at the ceilings. [redacted] said that Brothers Construction would be paying to have the ceilings redone. [redacted] came out Monday the 9th. Before [redacted] left our home he asked who would be paying for the repair. I told him that we were told Brothers would be taking care of it. I called [redacted] last week to get an update, She said she would get back to me. She did not. I called today 2/1/2017 and she said they [redacted] said they would not pay for the repairs. I don't know why they would say they are going to pay for the repairs AND send someone out to look at them if they were not going to fix it.

We have been working with [redacted] to resolve her complaint.  We are sending another individual to rectify her areas of concern and anticipate ending this in a very amicable way.  The President of Brothers Group Construction Company has met with [redacted] both agreed we...

would have another craftsman come in to address her concerns.  We expect a complete resolution by 09/28/2015.
