I took my car in to have it smog for tags on my Corolla, the sales person told me that I needed to drive my car another 50 to 100 miles to get the computer ready to allow it to get smog. He did not know why it would not smog but told me to come back, but to pay at that time and when I bring it back I would not have to pay. I took my car to find out why it would not smog. The repairs was going to cost more than what the car is worth. I purchased another car. I called the smog shop and told him that I had purchased another vehicle and would like my money back since he did not smog it. He said that he would loose money and would not refund the smog charge that he charged me. $40.00. I paid for services that was not renderended from him.

Hi I got this letter about a complaint that makes zero sense. I have the customer invoice and FAILED smog slip right here how did I not perform a service on his car but provided him with a fail CERT. I did my labor I wrote him up and smogged his vehicle. Had he not illegal cleared his engine light and came in not saying anything the fail wouldn't have happened. The customer stating I didn't perform a service but why would he pay me 40$ than? He also says he went to get his car repaired after the fail, and its cost too much to repair it but that's my fault? If he repaired it BEFORE The smog and not clear his engine light illegally and try to *** the smog machine this fail wouldn't exist. He knew what he was illegally trying to do. I did nothing wrong I am nice to even give FREE RETEST within 30 days to everyone I have 2 huge signs that say it pass or free retest. I am going to fax *** his fail slip attached to this form and tell me I didn't perform smog? I smog hundred of failed vehicles they all come back after repairs.
