In December 2019, me and my partner contacted *** with Broward Commercial & Residential Services to get a quote to repair our swimming pool.
*** provided us with a detailed quote for a total of $7,074 and requested a 35% deposit. We paid him on 12/20/2019 a total of $2500. As itemized in the quote, services included: electrical installation of all pool equipment, new automation system, fill pool bottom with concrete, pool surface plastering, etc..
He started working shortly after, dismantling the existing piping system and removing stone boulders at the perimeter of the pool. He would come for a very short period of time, on average for an hour, sometimes without notifying us.
He did bring a helper once and they were worked for a few hours cleaning up, the stone boulders that they threw at the bottom of the pool.
On January 12th, we gave him an additional $2400.
*** stopped showing up at our property to progress with the work on March 3rd. Leaving behind a destroyed pool and destroyed equipment. He left all the pipes in the garage (still there). He installed a few pieces of second hand equipment, none of which in a working order.
After he stopped showing up, we contacted him by texts, emails, and phone calls numerous times, following up with him almost on a daily basis, expressing only but patience with him. We did feel disrespected and powerless, as he lead us on for months, throughout March, April, May, June, July telling us he would come in the following days, asking us to complete random tasks to prep his work but he would never show up.

Other (requires explanation) This lasted for months, until August 17th, 2020 when we sent him a formal email notice advising him that we requested reimbursement or that he finished the job starting right away, otherwise we would alert the Revdex.com and file a claim. In response, he immediately told us he would finish the job. However, he once again did not show up and ignored us. His last message to me was, when I told him I was going to go talk to him personally at his office, that "trespassers get a bullet". Between other services (ie. the installation of an electrical water heater and a piece of equipment to increase water pressure) we paid him a total of $5700. Both the water heater and water pressure equipment installation were not working. We had to call a plumber and an electrician in order to get hot water working in the house again.
