I completely agree with [redacted] I had a terrible experience with Brown Box Movers who ultimately did not move me because the manager decided I was too unprepared, despite the fact that my move was scheduled in two parts one to take the large furniture and as many boxes as I had packed and two, to take the rest, four days later, when I had time and space to access what needed to be doneMoves are messy as well as stressful, and movers, of all people, should know that going inJust like [redacted] said, Brown Box's way of handling problems is not to deal with it at allWhile the managers were busy wasting valuable time conferring with the office (or owner? Who knows?), I was completely left out of the loopI never did get a single call from anyone with authorityThe manager who showed up walked into my house and filmed it (presumably to "prove" I wasn't ready enough for him?) without my permissionHe made no attempt to meet me firstAt this time, nothing on my priority list had been loaded, and the employees were trying to work around stuff not ready to be loaded yetDuring a heated discussion, it became clear that although this manager was in an authoritative position, he knew nothing about what had been discussed He ordered his crew to unload the 1/filled truck and refused the job, leaving my house in a total mess, worse than it was from before they showed upWhile we were talking, he was standing next to my Ethan Allen dining room table which was SOPPING WET from the rain no one had bothered to wipe it off after it was brought insideShortly after they left, I saw that the wood trim was pulling away from the tableI have had a call out to the company; I was told to email themRight now I'm trying to find out who the owner is, but so far, no luck figuring out who is behind this "family-owned" businessGoogle searches show nothingI immediately made a call to All My Sons, who had called me multiple times in an attempt to get my business prior to my committing to Brown Box Movers(I went with Brown Box because they seemed to have more services.) Fortunately, they are more than happy to work with me, understand what MY goals are and are going to do everything they can to ensure my move goes as smoothly as possibleI still have a move booked with Brown Box Movers for Tuesday and house cleaners booked with them for Wednesday, but I guess I'll go ahead and cancel since no one from the company has shown any interest in my businessFortunately, Denton is big enough now that there are several excellent moving companies to choose fromUnfortunately, Brown Box Movers is not one of them

BUYERS BEWARE! Not everyone has exceptional service from Brown Box moversSome have very poor service, and I am that person However, the greatest testimony about a company is how they resolve problems Brown Box Movers doesn't resolve problems, even when they admit they had a problem I hired Brown Box to move me from a bedroom apartment to another two bedroom apartment within the same apartment complex, two buildings away, less than two hundred yards To make a long story short, their own management (Lindsey) said it should have taken only 2-hours.They sent a crew that was more focused on their phone and milking my budget (which we made a mistake of telling them) and it took them two days to complete the moveActually it took two moving teams to try and finish the move because the first crew failed miserably to complete the move and claimed they did (I have the pictures Brown Box sent a second crew on day two and spent another hours in an attempt to complete the move and they did not either My wife was just ready for them to move Even after multiple complaints (and an additional $discount) and hours (over twice the time Lindsey admitted it should have taken) I asked for a refund of the excessive, poor service from the fee I paid Lindsey justified her crews work all the while claiming the my wife was happy with the move What she was about about was getting rid of Brown Box Movers And they used up every cent plus $of the budget I had Brown Box Movers admitted the issue, thus the $additional discount on the day of the move, and Lindsey admitted it on an email to me on July 7th, almost one month later Now that is poor customer service to say the least Beware of Brown Box Movers, I will never use them again and if asked I will show the correspondence, the invoices and the pictures

They are a great companyThey were able to schedule my move on very short noticeThe two gentlemen that showed up to assist us with the move were very professional They were very quick and cautious with our items I would highly recommend them
