I placed an order with somewhat short notice during the busy holiday seasonI wrote a request to have it by Saturday (order was placed during when they were closed)I know the order was received on Monday and I received my order on WednesdayI am so appreciative of this company to get me the products I needed without feeling stressed down to the last minuteI would definitely use them again

I ordered birthday supplies AND custom invitations and they shipped them out the day I ordered them!!!!

I recently placed two separate orders with Birthday Direct for items to celebrate my daughters birthday party. I ordered invitations on a Thursday around 1:30 pm and even had them personalized and paid for two day shipping and they arrived the next day around 12:00 pm. Yeah sounds too good to be true, however the real problem came from the second order I placed a week later. I even placed the order earlier in the day thinking no problem, if I just pay for two day shipping it will arrive like the invitations did, so I placed an order for several supplies that was going to cost me 55 dollars (along with tax and 2 day shipping). So I waited patiently for my package the next day and yet while I waited I received a tracking email from Fed-Ex saying my package was not arriving until Monday the following week. Here is the kicker the party was Sunday, and yet I was not going to have the supplies I had just paid extra to get. I called Fed-Ex and they could not get the package to me any sooner. So I called Birthday Direct looking for help and all they offered was to refund me my money after refusing the package after it arrived. Here is the other kicker they would not refund me the 17 dollars I paid extra for the shipping even though the package didn't arrive when I needed it to. I am not EVER shopping with Birthday Direct again. I am very upset about the whole ordeal and all they had to do was just refund me the total amount of the order since the supplies did not arrive on time even after I paid extra to get them here before the party.

Hi, This is with regard to a recent order that I placed on your website. I placed an order (No. XXXXXXX) on Sunday night expecting it would reach me before the end of the week. However, I did not get any shipping email by Tuesday morning and therefore wrote to your customer service department to get a status on this order. I received a reply from [redacted] saying that since I had chosen standard shipping, I will not be getting it before next week.
I called them that very afternoon to get an update on this order and cancel it if it did not arrive on time. I spoke with Ashlyn again and asked her to cancel it as my baby's 1st birthday party is this Friday and according to her, I would not get it this week as it was not priority shipping. She told me that I could get it if I upgraded it to priority shipping for $6.95. At that point I asked her to cancel this order as I could get it for cheaper at my local [redacted]
She confirmed that my order was cancelled and that I did not have to do anything about it any further.
However, the package showed up at my apartment complex this afternoon and I was very surprised as I had already made alternate purchases at my local party store here and had cancelled it on Tuesday.
I again called your customer service again and spoke to some other lady who talked with [redacted] and said that I should refuse the package and return it to [redacted] so that they could take it back to Alabama without any additional charges. I did the same as I was assured that my credit would be taken care of once the package was received by you.
To my shock and annoyance, upon checking my credit card account just now, I see that I have been charged for the $6.95 expedited charges by birthday direct DESPITE my CANCELLING MY ORDER. This is totally UNETHICAL and UNACCEPTABLE. I am very upset that your company cheated me by using my credit card for unauthorized charges despite my cancelling my order and taking the liberty to ship the package after assuring me that the order had been cancelled.
I will be disputing these charges with my credit card company and will make sure that negative reviews are passed along for your company. This is outright cheating and your customer service should not be indulging in unethical and illegal practices like these.
Please let me know what action will be taken against [redacted] for doing this and I doubt how many customers must have been cheated by using this tactic.
