This is in response to the complaint filed by *** *** regarding her automobile accident involving which occurred on December 6, and reported on December 8,
It should be noted that Ms*** did not carry collision coverage on her Chevy Astro Van at the time of this collisionRather, Ms*** was presenting a claim under her uninsured motorist property damage coverage, which has slightly different policy requirements than a claim being presented under a collision policyThe adjuster made contact with Ms*** on December 9, and took a recorded statement concerning the facts of this lossDuring this conversation the adjuster attempted to schedule her vehicle for an inspection but Ms*** advised she did not know the location of her vehicleMs*** indicated she would locate her vehicle and contact us so we could write the damage appraisalMs*** was also advised that we had ordered the police report and would need to review said report as part of the investigation
Although Ms*** was unable to present her vehicle for an inspection she did provide the company with photos of the damaged vehicle on 1/29/Based on the photos we were able to write an estimate and determine the vehicle was a total loss
Ms*** was contacted on February 9, and a settlement offer was tendered and accepted for the amount of $1,Ms*** was asked to forward a copy of the front and back of her title to verify ownership which was received on February 11, Ms***' settlement check in the amount of $1,was issued on February 11,
We regret that Ms*** has had an unpleasant claim experience and can assure you that Acceptance Insurance strives to create a courteous, service oriented working relationship with our customers to resolve each claim in a timely and equitable manner
