Response to [redacted]
The paint colors were chosen by [redacted], after she saw the paint on the walls, trim and heat grills, she changed her mind on the colors. We changed the colors to [redacted] new choices.  The paint job was considered "completed" by [redacted] prior to the...

paint drying and touch up being done. The paint was touched up the next day, as it usually is.
The brand of windows ordered the first time was incorrect and brown Construction paid for those windows and the correct windows were received the following week.
We have window order sheets signed and initialed by Mr. [redacted], with the type, brand and style of windows desired.  After the windows arrived Mr. [redacted] said that they no longer wanted the style of windows that they signed for and that he did not care that his signature was on the order.
We were unable to install cabinets in the kitchen , as the [redacted]s had still not decided on what type of flooring they wanted.
Shower stall was not cracked at end of bathroom job and was never addressed by customer until Revdex.com complaint.
The [redacted]s changed their minds whether they wanted siding or stucco several times during this job and were only charged for the tear-off and underlayment.
The video watching that [redacted] is referring to was a new product video from our supplier, not a "how-to" video.
We have documented several dates that our crew had showed up and Mrs. [redacted] would not let us in to work because she said that she was on medicine and needed sleep.  This happened to our employees and our electrical sub-contractor.
I last spoke with Mr. [redacted] about [redacted] not letting us in, or not being home when we were scheduled to work, as well as the need for decisions on flooring and siding to be made. Mr. [redacted] told me that he has been working alot and that unfortunately "a woman" was left in charge of decisions and we should understand that.

The [redacted]s would not let us back in the house to complete the work we began. Yes it is  a mess, as it is incomplete. But without access to the house, we are unable to complete this job.
The current amount owed by The [redacted]s to Brown Construction is $3459.20 for labor and materials.  We are willing to forgive this debt.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
1. Brown Construction's crew do not have the ability to complete the work to our satisfaction.  We informed them daily of the poor quality of work being done.  Again, in the beginning I told Bill Brown that "I was a picky [redacted]".  He had no problem with it.  Bill was not on the job site or came by to check work being done except 3-4 times from Dec 2013 - April 2014.  His crew did not have respect for us as CUSTOMERS and did not care about the quality of work being done.  By crew we are referring to [redacted] ?, and [redacted] (no longer with them) and one other young man that was an apprentice that is no longer there.  Two workers we felt did a satisfactory job (for what they did) was [redacted] and [redacted] and we asked for them to return but the foreman [redacted] didn't have them come back except for certain things.
2.  We found out that a building permit was not purchased.
3.  We were billed appox. 4,700.00 for the electrical work and I ran into the electrician and he hadn't billed Brown Construction and didn't have a clue to what was going on with our project.  They only wired the kitchen, put in a fan and new power box.  Pretty expensive if you ask us.
4.  Due to Bill Brown his quote to [redacted] "there is rumor around town that you are suing me".  [redacted] was there to talk to him about getting the windows installed and the siding ordered.  After that comment [redacted] was told by Bill Brown that he had revised the invoices and we owed him more money and he wanted 1/2 down for the siding.  [redacted] was leaving our residence at 4:30am and returning at 8:30pm 6-7 days a week.  I had started a new job and was working Monday - Friday 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm.  This is not a professional way to handle business with a CUSTOMER.  WE ARE THE CUSTOMERS NOT EVERYBODY ELSE.  [redacted] was totally caught off guard by that comment and then we understood why no contact had been made to finish installing the windows and get siding ordered.
5. After the window incident we could not get any information out of [redacted] Lumber verifying the correct color of siding and the correct size on windows being ordered. We were on good terms with them until the window incident.  I guess they didn't realize who the CUSTOMER was either.  [redacted], the foreman was supposed to meet me at [redacted] to verify the correct window styles that were to be ordered for 3 windows.  [redacted] didn't call and didn't show up, [redacted] rep wasn't there (7am).  I left the information at [redacted] for [redacted], left a message for [redacted] and no return call from either one.  [redacted] contacted Bill Brown and Bill Brown told [redacted] to throw the note away that it wasn't important.  WE ARE THE CUSTOMERS!
6. Walls, windows, brick, different sections of the house were not protected from dust, debris, paint and primer.  We cleaned up after the workers every time except [redacted] & [redacted].  We had a bucket of water (from taping and texturing) left in the basement and one in the kitchen amoung our boxes of cabinets.  We thought there was a sewer problem and couldn't figure out what the smell was.  [redacted] moved the boxes of cabinets around and that is what he found.  Buckets of moldy nasty smelling water.  We took a load of garbage to the dump.
This could go on and on but the bot[redacted] line is we will not have Brown Construction come back to correct their mess or to complete the work that was paid for.  They do not have our trust and confidence to continue the job. Why should we agree to returning to fix a problem that we addressed with the crew and foreman on a daily basis.  Again, I have pictures, text, daily logs and audio.  The original request stands.
Regards,
[redacted] & [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have since talked to Julie at Brown's about the payments, and am happy to say that I have received 2 payments for $250 each. Now, I am just awaiting the final payments to bring the balance to zero.Regards,
[redacted]

We are willing to finish the work for the agreed price.  The [redacted]s decided they did not want us in their house to complete the work. We are unable to complete the work without access to the house.  With the job being incomplete it not possible to judge the quality of the finished work.

To whom it may concern:Please see the attached word document for our response to the complaint.Thank You, Julie G.Assistant to Mr. Bill [redacted]Thursday, December 21, 2017Brown Construction Services1203 Middle Fork Dr.Gillette, WY 82718To whom it may concern at Revdex.com:This is a response to a complaint...

about a customer not receiving a refund after being charged for 3 extra windows. CJ is a former employee of Brown Construction and this customer was assigned to his workload. CJ was dishonest not only with this particular customer but also with Brown Construction regarding this customer. CJ had reported to Brown Construction that he had arranged to do work on the customers’ rental property instead of our company issuing a refund for the overcharged amount. CJ reported that he had done the repairs on the rental property and was paid an hourly wage for said repairs. Unfortunately, our customer claims that CJ did not do the repairs to the property. We are very sorry for this situation, in hopes of making this right we have contacted the customer with an apology  and both agreed to a cash payment plan to bring this to a $0 Balance. Here at Brown Construction we take pride in not only our work, but our integrity as well. The employee that caused this customers upset is no longer with Brown Construction. We are very sorry that this happened and we are more than willing to make it right.Thank You,Julie G[redacted]Assistant to Mr. Bill Brown

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
1. Bill's crew used my paint from my home in Billings, MT.  They went to a local business to have more mixed up and the wrong paint color was mixed for the trim.  [redacted], employee of Brown Constructin stated that the paint store had a different base mixture and that was why it was a different color.  I never changed my mind on colors.  I informed the crew and Bill that if they were having problems painting the two different colors, which [redacted] complained about constantly, that they could just paint it all one color (the darker wall color).  I have pictures to verify.  Not once did I change the colors.  Bill was the person who suggested the color for the heat covers and they painted them the wrong color and had to repaint.  I also have a picture of a woman working on the heater covers.
2.  I did not state at any time that I was on medication and needed sleep.  I take medication to sleep but that doesn't affect communicaton from the contractor. I was sick one time and the rest of the time we were not notified that they were or were not coming to work on the house.  I have saved text messages of comments with the foreman regarding this issue.
3.  We did not use the shower in the basement except once when we realized the hot water temperature was wrong.  Bill's foreman came over to adjust and when [redacted] cleaned up the shower waiting for the foreman to return to caulk he noticed the crack.  This was brought to [redacted] attention and his comment was "that [redacted]".
4.  I don't believe the "woman" comment from [redacted].   That was Brown's Construction comment to me.
5.  Cabinets were not installed due to the fact that the sub floor was installed wrong and we were told that lino would not be installed due to the sub floor.
6. It was not me that kept changing my mind regarding the siding.  We originally went with regular siding and then I ("[redacted]") wanted stucco.  Mr. [redacted] was the one that did not want stucco and with the work that had been done on the inside we didn't pursue the stucco.  Per Bill Brown it all cost the same and let him know just before the windows were installed.
Bill's comment with regards to settling the balance owed Brown Construction is not acceptable since it is going to cost us a lot more to fix and complete the job requested.
The final point is I have all the documentation to back up my comments with pictures, text messages, audio and daily documentation.

[redacted]I did not respond, because I was waiting for a payment from Brown's Construction to see if they were going to come through with their promise to resolve the issue...as of yet I have not received anything, and did not realize there was a time limit to when I had to respond to your last communication. I have Just sent a text to Brown's asking if they had forgotten about me in the rush of the holiday season...    [redacted]

January 8, 2018 Revdex.com 8020 S County Road 5, Ste. 100 Fort Collins, CO 80528   To Whom It May Concern: This is a response to Complaint #[redacted] with customer [redacted]. Bill B[redacted] talked to [redacted] on the phone after the original complaint was made to Revdex.com. He explained to him that we would get the account credited $1125.00 total for 3 windows that cost $375.00 each and it would be paid out in payments until paid in full.  On January 4, 2018 there was a check mailed to [redacted] in the amount of $250.00 leaving a balance of (-)$875.00 left to be paid to [redacted]. Enclosed in the envelope with the check was a statement of [redacted]s account and the invoice he requested with a $0 balance showing that he had already paid all that was owed to Brown Construction Services on December 9, 2014. We have tried to contact [redacted] about this twice since January 1, 2018 and he has been unreachable and has not returned calls when a detailed voicemail was left. Brown Construction will continue to make payments to [redacted] until he is paid the $1125.00 reimbursement in full. I am submitting the documents that were enclosed with the check mailed on January 4, 2018.  UPDATE:  There was a second payment check that was put in the mail on 1/18/18 for the amount of $250.00. Which brings the amount owed to Mr. [redacted] at $625.00.   Thank You,     Julie Gonzalez, Bookkeeper Brown Construction Services
