Mr. was contracted to change the pluming line from cast iron to pvc pipe and upon doing so the inspections failed and he was given instructions.
***'s pluming has failed to complete and correct the plumbing contract by changing out the original plumbing from cast iron to pvc piping. The initial work was completed but since failing the inspections, he only came and moved the toilet over per the inspectors failure note and no inspections have been re-scheduled. I called Mr. and told him my kitchen floods every time the shower is in use and he said he would come by and check on it. This has been going on now for more than 7 months and my kitchen cabinets have been affected with water damage. I have all the texts where he said he got busy, or he forgot, or he was coming, but he has not showed up as of today June 23, 2020. The original contract was from July 2019 and that is unacceptable to still be dealing with an unfinished bathroom for going on 1 year. I do not discriminate against color, but this is so disheartening to think you know someone and to trust them and this is what happens. Mr. was asked about payment and I paid him on time and in full when he completed the job because he needed the money and I trusted he would complete the process and no inspection had been done at that time. All he had was a scheduled inspection to which failed. There was an issue with replacing my floor and wall and I had to pay someone else to correct that because he said he did not do repair work. The inspection failed and he had to tear up the floor and wall and he did that work after 4 months waiting for him to find someone to do the work for him and he kept talking about he was busy but I told him that he was not conducting business properly because this should not have taken this long. I told him I was going to complain and every time he would apologize but never showed up. I called his office and spoke with his new assistant, she assured me he was coming and that was in early May 2020 and now we are in the end of June and he said he was sending someone today June 23, 2020. It is not fair to the consumer to always be understanding and nothing is done to correct the problem and they are still allowed to do business as usual and not practice professional business practices. If I wanted to make noise I could easily take to the social media's and really talk about his unprofessional and terrible business practices to customers
and I have gone beyond being tolerable with this, Now we have a pandemic and it is further complicating the process. There is no excuse or reason he has not completed or fixed my situation because we had a contract and he has breached it. I am writing this because he continues to talk about he was busy or he had another contract and just tireless excuses. My parents are 84 / 85 and they live in Atlanta and they trusted me to take care of this for them and it is now going on 1 year and it is not done. I have taken pictures of the kitchen floor flooding and I will be taking further actions for sure. I have contacted the DBPR for the State of Florida and I will be filing a complaint there as well. Also contacting the local inspector for Dade County to file a complaint. It is unfortunate you have to go through these processes to get results. I will be contacting Channel 7 as well if I don't have this completed by July 1st, 2020. This is just unacceptable business practices and to have paid for a service that has not been provided is terrible and upsetting because he was trusted to do the job based on his word and supposedly good business principles and practices.

Desired Outcome

FINISH THE JOB AND PAY FOR ANY DAMAGES CAUSED BECAUSE I HAVE TO GET SOME ONE TO FIX THE KITCHEN

In response to Ms ***'s complaint, the job has been completed and permit closed. In further response to Ms ***'s kitchen damage complaint, prior to any work being performed the kitchen cabinets were already damaged beyond repair due to neglect. The sanitary system was totally collapsed and from visible observation had been that way for quite awhile. Ms *** and her family was living under those conditions. There were miscommunication between myself and Ms *** I informed Ms *** she needed someone to replace any tile that was damaged. It was mentioned several times verbally and in writing prior to commencement of work. There was a lapses of about 4 weeks while Ms *** found someone to replace the tile. I truly apologize to Ms. and her family for any discomfort she experienced during the process.

Installation of electric water tank was professionally done.
