Good evening,Unfortunately Brown Services did not provide us with any written invoice or documentation after the initial estimateWe had asked for it to be provided with the copy of the permit and that is where we stopped getting responses from himI understand that we should have never given the check without the appropriate documentation but he caught us unguarded and asked for it and made it seem urgent that he get the check immediatelyI now know we should not have caved in to this requestHopefully the copy of the check and estimate will show you what you needYou will notice that the check is for $3,while the two items on the estimate sum to only $3,The difference is the amount he asked for us to pay for labor for him to install the hot water tank, which we paid for on our own.Before contacting Revdex.com I thought I did not have a claim against him because we did not have written documentation that promised he would get permits for the workHowever, after talking to the City of Milwaukee building services department, they assured me that as a contractor, Brown should have known he would need to obtain this permit and it should not be considered the homeowners responsibility to obtain.Please let me know if you need any further information from me.Regards,***
