Again I am sorry Mrs [redacted] feels this wayIf you read in the other companies (***) description of material used you will see that he had to add refrigerant (R-410a) to her systemThis means the system was low again for the 3rd timeShe has an on going refrigerant leak that will need to be addressed I stand by my work and my reputationMy offer still standsShe now has possession of a $dollar check and I will issue another $dollar check as soon as I retrieve the old motor and Mrs [redacted] agrees to this settlementI require the old motor as I will be going after the manufacture of the motorHow ever this will need to be taken care of quickly as the motor was purchased in June of and the manufacture only offers a one year warrantyI am making this offer in good faith as I still do business with Mrs [redacted] 's family.I am also requesting no negative marks on my Revdex.com rating.Again, I am truly sorry she feels she has been taken advantage of, [redacted] ***

I've been in business for almost thirteen years now and have been apart of Revdex.com since with an A+ ratingI originally met Mrs [redacted] through a long term client [redacted] ***She is his ex-mother in lawI met [redacted] (Mrs[redacted] 's grandson) at the residentsThe Original complaint was the system did not get cool, and that the outdoor unit would come on for 10-seconds then shut it would shut offI found that the outdoor unit was extremely low on refridgerantThere for shutting off via a low pressure switch I showed the customer as well as ***Mrs [redacted] explained to me that she had three service techs out the year priorBecause she had issues with her systemI then explained to her about a new product that you put into the system that seals small refrigerant leaksShe agreed to put the stop leak in as well as the required refrigerantI was then able to run the equipment longer to check the functionalityIt was at this time that I found the condenser motor was running with excessive heatSo I recommended to replace the motorCustomer agreedThe motor that was installed was a universal 1/3-1/Horse power, RPM, 208-volt condensing fan motorThis motor met the needs of the equipment at the time of service. At the time we came out for service the second time we found the compressor was having a hard time startingThis is why we installed a "Hard Start Assist"This component gives the compressor an extra boost of energy to get it goingAt the time of visit the condenser motor was operating to the factory specificationsWe had no reason to suspect the motor was having any issues. If there was an issue with the motor I feel that I (Brown's Heating and Air) should have been given the opportunity to rectify the issue rather it was replacing the motor or repairing itIf there was an issue with the motor I could warranty it through the manufactureI responded to Mrs [redacted] 's letters as soon as they were brought to my attention explaining my positionI truly am sorry to hear that she had issues with her HVAC systemas a good gesture I offered to refund her $as she was a relative of a good long term customerAs a professional I feel that Mrs [redacted] will continue to have HVAC issues as she has had to have multiple technicians out to chase different issues [redacted] ***Brown's Heating and AirCSLB# 909425(Contractor State License Bureau)

I am rejecting this response because:I can't believe that Brown's is bringing up the problem of the refrigerant leak which is irrelevant I have had this problem for four years This has nothing to do with the issue of the wrong motor being installed by Brown's.Brown's is talking about going to the manufacture for a faulty motor They need to admit they installed the wrong motor causing it to short outand fail.Yes this does need to be taken care of quickly, this has gone on for to long.Brown's needs to leave family out of this He claims he gave me a good deal because of some family business, $plus another $297.00is not a good deal, and it failed They need to justify the cost with honest break down of service
