In March of this year Browns Roofing coated a portion of a small flat roof for this customer.
In June the customer called and said she had a leak, Browns Roofing went out that same day and met with the customer and the maintenance personnel from the customers condo
. Browns Roofing found problems with the box gutter on the flat roof, the valley flashing on the shingled roof, the apron on the flat roof and the miter on the seamless gutterNone of these items had anything to do with the coating job . To ensure the coated roof area was not a problem, Browns Roofing re-coated the area free of charge
At the customers request Browns Roofing wrote an estimate to repair the problem areasThe customer signed a contract on 6-11-for the additional workThis work is scheduled to be done the 1st week of September, to allow the new coating time to harden
Under Ohio's Consumer Protection Law a customer has business days to cancel a contract, that time frame has expiredHowever in a effort to resolve this complaint Browns Roofing will cancel the contract, the customer simply needs to call and confirm they wish to cancel on or before 8-22-( ###-###-#### )

I am rejecting this response because:Coating *** Brown put black liquid substance on roof that would not dry I had another company come look at roof that's how I knew it was not dry after months.*** was the only person from his company that was hereOther contractor stated black substance was just smeared on roof and has ran in gutters.*** stated he felt bad about roof leaking and would put rubber roof on for at cost and he wouldn't make a dime.He charged me to pour blacktop on sunroom roof.His warranty is for a year roof leaked after he poured blacktop on roof after a week.Came back out and poured another bucket of blacktop on roof.I would like dollars of my money back his work did not repair my roof had to find out by a real roofer what problem was.I researched and found out this man has shady work history.Im trying to resolve this without seeking Lawyer to see what court system findings on his job at my condobuckets of blacktop isn't worth and it still leaks

I am emailing in regards to a complaint that I recently filedThe company I filed the complaint on agreed to compensate my money back in the amount of $I called about this and was told to put it in writing that this resolution was fineI agree to accept the $for the resolution

Under NO circumstances am I willing to remove my complaint about Brown Roofing without a reimbursement for services I was charged for but not performedIt is not an honest, nor ethical business and other consumers should be made aware of its practices

The product used on this flat roof was fibered roof coatingIt was installed with a roof mop, as recommended buy the manufacturer . A total of gallons were installed ( 5gal cans )
After coating this roof the customer had no leaks for three monthsThe new leak is not related to the coated roof areaThis coated area of the roof is NOT leakingHowever the box gutter, valley flashing, apron, miter on seamless gutter are leaking. The contract signed on 6-11-is to fix the new leak
Browns Roofing is willing to refund this customer $under conditions
The customer must sign a release drafted buy our attorney
The customer must agree that the contract dated 6-11-for the additional work is cancelled
