Dear Madam or Sirs,This letter is in response to the Revdex.com allegation issued by [redacted] submitted on 2/2/2016, ID # [redacted] .Due to the nature of the complaint, and the policy of the Revdex.com that "all responses will be copied to the complainant," and furthermore, may "be publically posted on the Revdex.com Website" we cannot respond to the allegations submitted by the applicant, [redacted] , in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act in order to protect the privacy and confidentiality of the patient doctor relationshipIn order to provide an adequate defense on this matter, Dr [redacted] would need to discuss, in detail, facts pertaining to an individual who may or may not be patient of Dr [redacted] and various health and financial related aspects which would violate HIPAA and other medical laws and regulationsBecause the complainant is not a patient of Dr [redacted] , and the Revdex.com has not provided Dr [redacted] with the proper HIPPAA compliant authorization forms, Dr [redacted] has a legal obligation to refrain from discussing the matters addressed.With this in mind, the office of Dr [redacted] takes all complaints very seriouslyWe will address the matters with the patient directly, and attempt to redress any grievancesAdditionally, we are taking steps to modify our office procedures to ensure any misunderstandings can be avoided in the future.Respectfully, [redacted] , Office Manager
