StVincent Hospital, and the company they contract for their employee health insurance, are absolutely despicableWe are still receiving bills for our daughter's delivery back in JuneWhen added up, a three-day stay with a delivery and no epidural cost $36,before it went to insurance, which is ridiculous in itselfThen, after it was "negotiated down", the insurance decided to only cover about 20% of the remainderThis should be criminalWe were billed by doctors we never saw, hours of service we never received [redacted] They need to take the "St." off of their name, because they're nothing more than a greedy leech on the community around themThey're actually worse than the for-profit secular hospitals in the area

Continue to bill me for services provided to adult son I am the subscriber and not the guarantor of the insurance policy My adult son, [redacted] , was treated in the ER at St Vincent's East on June 24, I was not aware of this until I received a bill from the hospital for I am the subscriber of the insurance but my son born 6/29/is an adult and I am not responsible for payment of this service I contacted the business office regarding the first bill received and either my wife or I have called with each bill received since and today I received another bill advising the amount was sent to Medical Financial Solutions This was addressed and directed again to me and was dated Dec 28th, I consider these continued statements, letters and the escalation of the balance due in my name harassment and it needs to stop immediately

I received an MRI in July, I was shopping for the best cost on this procedureI have health insurance, and my deductibles have been metIn speaking with the StVincent's Chilton staff prior to the procedure I was told my out of pocket expense would be ruffle $63.00, which I paidAt the time this was the lowest price I hade been givenFast forward, to today, 10-2-I now have a bill saying I owe them $262.94, in addition to what my insurance has already paid Total cost of Service $4543.80, insurance payments $2989.22, Adjustments $My balance is $ Hence, the hospital attempting to Over-Charging more then what my Insurance company has agreed to pay thru the PCHS NetworkIf I had known the full price of this service up front I would not of had this done at this timeBut because I was told my out of pocket price would only be $I proceeded with the MRII truly believe this was misinformation! St Vincent's used incorrect coding for procedures, resulting in insurance denying paymentStVincent's has sent me to collections for their error
I am a nonsmoker with stage IV lung cancer I also had stage 2B breast cancer (mastectomy with reconstruction done last spring) that I am still undergoing treatment forI have been very blessed and am very lucky
But I had two tests done last August (2017) at StVincent's Medical Center in Birmingham that StVincent's billed incorrectly That is, they used the wrong medical billing codes when they submitted them to my insurance, resulting in the bills being rejected/not covered

Went to the emergency room after a car wreckWas a little banged up but no serious injuriesAfter being rushed out of the emergency room I was in the waiting room trying to find a ride home but since it was early all my friends were at workAfter a few hours I was kicked out and told I was "taking up a seat"Had to walk home barefootExtremely rude staff and heartless security

Provider has submitted my ER claim incorrectlyI paid them $to keep from going to collections, even though I had met my deductible
Please note that this is an ongoing issue where I have a great deal of documentation that is impossible to fully detail in a small space, but would be happy to provide if needed I do not believe that the issue is solely on the shoulders of the billing provider as BCBS has been just as lax in getting the issue resolved
I went to the ER 8/23/for a migraineI wound up paying StVincent's ER Physicians $out of my own pocket to keep from going to collections, but had met my deductible, so I should not have had to pay anywhere close to that amount
Basically, StVincent ER Physicians states over & over that they submitted the claim, but BCBS says they haven't gotten it Each company has repeatedly gotten my information wrong & no one wants to step up & just take care of the issueIn the meantime I'm out a great deal of money, the claim

If I were dying with gunshots I would rather die then be taking to this place after my visit I had to visit another er I went in with multiple issues and they only address one and sent me about my day this place is races and money hungry and when I told them I still didn't feel well they just have me a prescription and sent me packing but wanted a co pay I have premiere United health care so I'm really confused
