Between July 3-2017, *** dba RW Plumbing, Heating, Air installed a ton Champion mini-split Heat Pump/AC unit at our homeMr*** used standard sized line sets which were longer than required for the installation, to connect the indoor and outdoor units Rather than cut the lines to proper size, Mr*** coiled the excess tubing at grade, claiming that this was necessary since the tubing had "special flared" connections
The system was run intermittently without issue during the rest of the summer, but on September 22, water was observed running down the wallRepeated calls and text messages to Mr*** were not returned
On October 1, while running in heat pump mode, the system shut down and a "Compressor Overload Protection" error message was noted on the unit displayAgain multiple attempts were made to contact Mr*** with out success
Two local HVAC contractors were subsequently consultedA leak was suspected but both noted that the coils in th
