Brown's Heating and Air Reviews (3)

Again I am sorry Mrs. [redacted] feels this way. If you read in the other companies ([redacted]) description of material used you will see that he had to add refrigerant (R-410a) to her system. This means the system was low again for the 3rd time. She has an on going refrigerant leak that will need to be addressed.  I stand by my work and my reputation. My offer still stands. She now has possession of a $100 dollar check and I will issue another $100 dollar check as soon as I retrieve the old motor and Mrs. [redacted] agrees to this settlement. I require the old motor as I will be going after the manufacture of the motor. How ever this will need to be taken care of quickly as the motor was purchased in June of 2016 and the manufacture only offers a one year warranty. I am making this offer in good faith as I still do business with Mrs. [redacted]'s family.I am also requesting no negative marks on my Revdex.com rating.Again, I am truly sorry she feels she has been taken advantage of, [redacted]

I've been in business for almost thirteen years now and have been apart of Revdex.com since 2008 with an A+ rating. I originally met Mrs. [redacted] through a long term client [redacted]. She is his ex-mother in law. I met [redacted] (Mrs.[redacted]'s grandson) at the residents. The Original complaint was the...

system did not get cool, and that the outdoor unit would come on for 10-15 seconds then shut it would shut off. I found that the outdoor unit was extremely low on refridgerant. There for shutting off via a low pressure switch.  I showed the customer as well as [redacted]. Mrs. [redacted] explained to me that she had three service techs out the year prior. Because she had issues with her system. I then explained to her about a new product that you put into the system that seals small refrigerant leaks. She agreed to put the stop leak in as well as the required refrigerant. I was then able to run the equipment longer to check the functionality. It was at this time that I found the condenser motor was running with excessive heat. So I recommended to replace the motor. Customer agreed. The motor that was installed was a universal 1/3-1/6 Horse power, 1075 RPM, 208-230 volt condensing fan motor. This motor met the needs of the equipment at the time of service. At the time we came out for service the second time we found the compressor was having a hard time starting. This is why we installed a "Hard Start Assist". This component gives the compressor an extra boost of energy to get it going. At the time of visit the condenser motor was operating to the factory specifications. We had no reason to suspect the motor was having any issues. If there was an issue with the motor I feel that I (Brown's Heating and Air) should have been given the opportunity to rectify the issue rather it was replacing the motor or repairing it. If there was an issue with the motor I could warranty it through the manufacture. I responded to Mrs. [redacted]'s letters as soon as they were brought to my attention explaining my position. I truly am sorry to hear that she had issues with her HVAC system. as a good gesture I offered to refund her $200 as she was a relative of a good long term customer. As a professional I feel that Mrs. [redacted] will continue to have HVAC issues as she has had to have multiple technicians out to chase different issues. [redacted]Brown's Heating and AirCSLB# 909425(Contractor State License Bureau)

I am rejecting this response because:I can't believe that Brown's is bringing up the problem of the refrigerant leak which is irrelevant.  I have had this problem for four years.  This has nothing to do with the issue of the wrong motor being installed by Brown's.Brown's is talking about going to the manufacture for a faulty motor.  They need to admit they installed the wrong motor causing it to short outand fail.Yes this does need to be taken care of quickly, this has gone on for to long.Brown's needs to leave family out of this.  He claims he gave me a good deal because of some family business, $920.00 plus another $297.00is not a good deal, and it failed.  They need to justify the cost with honest break down of service
