Review: I left a message with Brown several weeks ago regarding lock service at our rental property at [redacted] and my call was not returned. Emails to contact email on their website go to a box that is apparently too full to accept more messages.

I am writing to complain about service I received. This summer, I called Brown to fix a broken lock. I paid to have the lock repaired and other locks rekeyed to match. Then it stopped working completely about a month later. Again, I had Brown come out and replace the lock. Immediately, my tenant called and said the deadbolt was not turning smoothly. A Brown technician was sent and he told me that he was unable to fix due to a weather stripping issue preventing deadbolt from turning smoothly. Note there was no problem with previous deadbolt turning smoothly- the problem we were having was a faulty lock.

Next, I paid a handyman to come out and he said the problem was that the strike plate needed to be adjusted. He replaced our weather stripping anyway but said this was not the cause of our lock issue.

I'm VERY disappointed that a professional locksmith would not be able to adjust a strike plate to make a lock that they installed work properly....Desired Settlement: I would like Brown to refund me $68- what I paid Charlottesville Handyman-- to have the job completed properly.
