Brown's Service Center

Bill paid in FULL. Changed gas companies , Brown's picked up tanks with gas in them that had been paid for and they refuse to reimburse credit. 11/10/2015This complaint is concerning inappropriate service and poor customer service in regards to [redacted] Brown's Service Center in Kenansville NC. Latest gas invoice there has been recently paid in FULL showing 0 balance due. A switch was made to another gas company after bill was settled. There was gas remaining in the tanks when Brown's came and picked them up. That gas was paid in FULL. There should be a reimbursement check issued for the gas per telephone call with [redacted] from Brown's . Second call placed to follow up and was advised that "a corporate decision was made to retain the refund check of approx $1200.00 to go towards INTEREST". The lady from office was very rude saying there was nothing that could be done about it and good luck in trying to speak to any management above her for example the owner. These action appear to be RETAILATION for the decision to change companies. Desired SettlementSeeking refund from company for total of paid gas that was removed when tanks were picked up. This would be in the form of a refund check.Business Response In response to Customer Complaint---We did pick up 645 gals Propane from Customer was paid at 1.059 restocking fee is .50 per gal=.559 per gal, which would have been $361.14 not $1200.00 as stated. I made the decision not to send the $361.14, because I had just recently taken off $2600.00 worth of F/c. Customer has been a historically problem account and I don't think we owe him anythingConsumer Response Thank you Revdex.com for helping bring our comments and concerns to light. This response sounds typical coming from [redacted] Brown's Service Center. We have purchased truck & tractor fuel along with propane gas for our small poultry business for a few years beginning before Brown's were bought out by [redacted]. Local small farmers like myself are only a part of what keep propane companies such as this in business. Sad to see that we are considered & I quote "Customer has been a historically problem account". The poor customer service from (some) employees as well as over pricing are a great disappointment. The result of this Revdex.com request shows myself and others like me that [redacted] Brown's Service Center have very little appreciation and/or respect for its customers.
