After completion of the job, received a phone call to see when would be a good time to come over and review the job and see if anything needed addressed I explained that the following week was not a good time as I had a year old son undergoing surgery at H [redacted] Medical and would be tied up with that After spending the week going back and forth to Hershey due to medical complications and follow ups and many sleepless nights, I am rudely awakened at my home unannounced by Rick Brubaker 7:30AM the following Saturday morning handing me a bill and demanding payment on the spot I explained that the bank wasn't open that early on a Saturday and that I needed to transfer money and would send the check in the mail I felt very bullied and harassed I was then called on Thursday demanding payment again I had already paid half up front before the job was started and paid the remaining balance that day and dropped off at the post office During the time while they were working, Rick would constantly yell at the help in demeaning ways Challenging and embarrassing to explain to my young children why the man fixing the siding is such a jerk Had to leave the house many time so the kids wouldn't be exposed to all the yelling going on outside Also was put on the spot to the allow the workers to come inside my house and use the bathroom I did the first morning, but after they came in and stayed in my bathroom for 10-minutes, I'm wondering if they were doing drugs or going thru my medicine cabinet or bath cabinets looking for whatever Felt very uncomfortable and did not allow them to use bathroom after that The siding looks great but unfortunately the whole experience was soured by an ill tempered boss yelling at the help and undue harassment in taking less than a week to pay the final bill

opportunity to express ourselves. While working on their home, March 25th, I installed some trim metal and caulked some of 5 of the 7 windows. They were both home, off and on this day and were there when we were leaving around 4:00pm. I told him we would be back tomorrow, the Saturday before Easter, to try to get finished and if you have any questions about anything to let me know. I didn't hear anything about my caulking or metal that day or the next. We finished Saturday and as I always do, I tried to meet with the customer right away to go over the job and get paid. I knocked on the door and called. Both vehicles were in the driveway but no one was answering. He called Monday and told me my caulking was too excessive and completely unacceptable, needed to be removed and redone, the same way with 2 2nd floor rear sills. I explained about the 2 sills with screws. As for my caulking, I told him if it needs more caulking somewhere, I can easily do that, but as far as too much caulk, (in his opinion), I told him I will not remove any caulk. I wrote on the contract, "seal with silicone", and that's what I did because it needs to be there to keep out all moisture, air and bugs. Lots of this caulking is also on uneven brickwork. I told him I would like to meet with him ASAP and go over this. He said he's busy the rest of the week, so I told him I'll call him next week. Two days later on Wednesday evening, I got home from work and he has left me a message wanting to know when I'm coming down to take care of the caulking and the 2 sills and he's not paying for anything until this is all redone. We have played phone tag ever since, unable to meet with him. I got another message that he now wants all 7 sills, (not just 2), replaced because he went on-line and says all nails should be on the sides of the sills where they are not visible. 4 of the sills with top nails installed are 2nd floor windows and these nails are only visible if you stick your head out of the window. If nails were on the side, they would be visible from the ground. After I got this message, I have checked out sills in their neighborhood and I have found other sills with the nails on top the same way I did them, and sills with nails on the sides where he says all of mine now have to be if I want paid and if you look at enough homes, you will find sill nails on the face also. Nails on the sill can go anywhere they will hold. Nothing was discussed or put in the contract about where the sill nails would be and certainly no mention if there not on the side, we are not getting paid. More messages between us & we are unable to meet because he works 12 hours a day and is always busy on the weekends and I work 8 - 15 hours a day. He left me some messages that I can stop by any weekday between 10:00am - 1:00pm. He said his wife is always there at the time. After a couple of weeks of these messages & unable to meet with him, (who I wanted to meet with because he was leaving me all these messages). I called one Thursday morning and left a message that the weather report for tomorrow (Friday) was calling for rain and I said if its rains around the time, I was 90% sure I could stop by & meet with his wife between 10:00am. - 1:00pm depending on what time it rained & if Friday would not work to let me know because I didn't want to stop by if no one was going to be there. I got no call & it rained the next morning. I drove 20 miles out of my way & was there to meet with her between 12:00pm & 12:15pm. I knocked on the door, dogs started barking, I waited, then went out back and saw no one, went out front and knocked again, went to my truck which was parked right in front of their windows & door. I called him and left a message saying I am here at your house, the dogs are barking but no one is answering the door. It has stopped raining & I am going back to work. I got a return message on Monday and no reason was given why no one answered on Friday. After over 1 month of nothing but phone messages,(his phone always went straight to voice mail) after the first time we talked). I stopped at their local district office to get information on filing a civil suit at JP's office and they sent out a registered letter 8 days before he filed the complaint about us to the Revdex.com.I felt we had no choice after being unable to meet with him in person, talking only on voicemail and him stating there would be no payment of any kind until I redid everything to his liking and not to industry standards as I did. Addressing his final complaint of us wanting more money for things not discussed, he is mistaken. While I was there doing his estimate, he asked me if the pieces where the old wooden shutters used to be attached to the wooden frames would need to be removed. I told him yes, they would be in the way of the new metal & would have to removed. He said that's what he thought too & when he was installing his last 2 windows, he would take care of them. He forgot to do that & I had to remove & clean up the pieces. The extra cost was for time spent for work that was not on the contract that the homeowner was suppose to do while he was replacing his last 2 windows.

After completion of the job, received a phone call to see when would be a good time to come over and review the job and see if anything needed addressed. I explained that the following week was not a good time as I had a 1 year old son undergoing surgery at H[redacted] Medical and would be tied up with that. After spending the week going back and forth to Hershey due to medical complications and follow ups and many sleepless nights, I am rudely awakened at my home unannounced by Rick Brubaker 7:30AM the following Saturday morning handing me a bill and demanding payment on the spot. I explained that the bank wasn't open that early on a Saturday and that I needed to transfer money and would send the check in the mail. I felt very bullied and harassed. I was then called on Thursday demanding payment again. I had already paid half up front before the job was started and paid the remaining balance that day and dropped off at the post office. During the time while they were working, Rick would constantly yell at the help in demeaning ways. Challenging and embarrassing to explain to my young children why the man fixing the siding is such a jerk. Had to leave the house many time so the kids wouldn't be exposed to all the yelling going on outside. Also was put on the spot to the allow the workers to come inside my house and use the bathroom. I did the first morning, but after they came in and stayed in my bathroom for 10-15 minutes, I'm wondering if they were doing drugs or going thru my medicine cabinet or bath cabinets looking for whatever. Felt very uncomfortable and did not allow them to use bathroom after that. The siding looks great but unfortunately the whole experience was soured by an ill tempered boss yelling at the help and undue harassment in taking less than a week to pay the final bill.
