Any extended service contract we sell will not cover everythingCustomers are given a detailedlist of all covered parts and services upon purchaseWe also do not sell “bumper to bumper” plans…we sell basic service plans and that is what Mrs*** has purchased.Bruce Bennett Nissan
does not approve or deny any covered services we are strictly the diagnostic and repair facilityThe extended service company denied the claim because it is not a covered partBruce Bennett Nissandid not and cannot not approve the repair. There has been many instances that parts and labor were covered through the extended service contract on Mrs***vehicle, AC Compressor, Motor Mount, Exhaust Manifold, Alternator just to name a few. This is not an issue of misdiagnosing the problem as stated in the complaintAt the time we could not identify exactly where thenoise was coming from that Mrs*** was hearing. The CV Boot is not a covered part and is consider a wearable item.Thank you.Sincerely,Todd B***

I'm sorry that [redacted] has had all of these issues with her vehicle. I have personally been involved trying to resolve the mechanical and financial issues that have gone on.
Most of them we were successful with but others did not yield the results we were looking...

for.
I am willing to help [redacted] trade in her [redacted] and get into another vehicle. If this something [redacted] would be interested in I will contact her.
We cannot give her back the same amount that she paid for the car but I will get her into a reliable vehicle that she will be safe in.

Thanks, [redacted]

To whom it may concern, Bruce Bennett Nissan will mail [redacted] a new Nissan VTRS as compensation for the unit originally installed in his [redacted].
We apologize for the confusion however it was not clear if [redacted] was owed a [redacted] or VTRS.
A [redacted] system CANNOT...

be replaced or transfered. We can certainly provide [redacted] with a new VTRS unit.
We will mail this to him immediately.
Thank you,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: They did not resolve all of my concerns. For the power steering issue, the power steering line and a fitting were replaced and not the power steering unit. on the reciept I recieved from Nissan and also from what I was told directly by [redacted] that the power steering unit was not replaced so that is invalid information. For the brake issue, warped rotors are a safety concern because it causes the car to shake while braking and the car veers off to the left while driving. A known sign of brake issues. For the transmission issue it is mechanical which is still not resolved. A software update is not the proper solution for the transmission issue. The car has a transmission fluid leak from the transmission oil pan, as stated under the 60 day warranty it should be covered without question because it states "transmission housing" as part of the list of covered parts. I am also concerned about the transmission internals, which is also listed under the 60 day warranty, may be at risk as well, due to lack of fluid because of the transmission oil leak. which a solution has been prolonged. Bruce Bennett Nissan has been informed many times that the transmission issue and is still a problem and did nothting to resolve the issue. I can provide any reciepts, diagnostic reports and warranty information I was given or obtained. All reciepts and diagnotic reports are dated prior to the 60 day warranty period. Not to mention, I do not have an extended warranty on a used car purchase. I would like to see a policy which states Bruce Bennett Nissan can pick and chose which cars to offer warranties on if the used car is part of the the dealership inventory. Another issue I have all of a sudden is the car has a antifreeze leak from the radiator. This car has been nothing but problems and I do not want the car anymore because of the mechanical and safety issues. If I can return the car I would do that today.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We will refund the customer in the amount of $400 (the cost of the unit with labor) or reinstall a new unit into the customers car.
Please let me know how to proceed.
Thanks,

To whom it may concern, I have personally been involved with helping Mr. [redacted]. I believe the situation with some of BBN staff has been frustrating. We've spent alot of time with this client and he still continues to presue issues until he gets the answer he is looking for.
We had...

done a brake fluid flush, replaced microfilter, replaced a power steering pump and a few other minor repairs totaling over $1000 after the customer took delivery! These repairs were done at [redacted] who also did a safety inspection on the vehicle. They told me that the brakes had excessive corrosion HOWEVER they were not dangerous and presented no safety concerns. They also looked into the transmission issues, BMW offered a upgraded programing of the transmission for an additional cost. I called BMW to inquire about the transmission reprogram and the seervice advisor stated that is was not necessary, it was also something non safety related. The BMW service advisor also stated that the transmission reprogram WAS NOT something thay would perform on a Certified Pre-Owned BMW. I concluded that the transmission reprogram was in fact an recommended upsell opportunity to Mr. [redacted] but not required.
Mr. [redacted] called several times to talk about these issues but as far as I am concerned we addressed everything safety related and more! Not happy with the progress he made with my dealership and Ridgefield BMW he took his car to Darien BMW. We have not "procrastinated", we spent a lot of time and money to address the issues the customer brought to our attention.
[redacted] recommended a transmission service (stated that their is a small leak). Mr. [redacted] called several times about repairing the transmission leak. I told him that I will help with the cost transmission repair but I will not for the entire thing. At this time if he wants to go a head and get it repaired I will reimburse him $300.
Thank you,
[redacted]

Review: On September 30th I purchased a vehicle from Bruce Bennett Nissan. I was charged $69.00 for wheel locks that were not on the vehicle. My son made several calls to the dealership and was promised a refund check for the wheel locks because I had purchased wheel locks separately before I realized that I had been charged for them.Desired Settlement: A refund for the wheel locks and an apology.

Response:

We have contacted the owner and refunded the cost of the wheel locks.

Review: I was contemplating purchasing a new vehicle a few months ago. I wished to keep my business locally, and choose Bruce Bennett Nissan. From the moment I walked into the "show" room, I was surrounded by "fake, phoney", sales people. I felt intimidated from that moment on, pressured, to buy a vehicle and lease a 2013 truck, which, I had no intention of doing. Seven hours later, with my credit destroyed, tons of inquiries, which were unnecessary because I had excellent credit, and a "gift" of a tv as a form of apology for the long wait, I left. In the midst of this sales pressure, I had to get away and leave the building, in tears which I did. I went across the street, and when I returned half hour later, distraught beyond words, once more, I was approached, this time, by the Manager. I begged him to stop what they were doing and give me time to think, which, of course, he did, making sure I knew the 'offer' would be gone. The 'offer' turned out to be a scam. I was trading in my 07, 80k+mile, Subaru Imprezza, in perfect condition, inside and out. Trade in value, was nine thousand dollars, and I only owed, six. I had just spent close to two thousand dollars to get four new tires, new front lights, new batter, new front and back brakes, plus and oil change and hoses replaced, which I still owe to [redacted]. The car I was purchasing, was an 07 Subaru Forrester, with a hundred thousand mile, worth, about eleven thousand dollars, for which they charged me fourteen. They insisted that I pay two thousand dollars, cash upfront, and said my trade in was worthless. The lease was also a nightmare, the pressure to lease was beyond anything I have ever witnessed in all my life. Bruce Bennett Corp. knew I was on a fixed income, receiving disability, not well, and they took advantage of me in the cruelest way possible.Desired Settlement: I require, that Bruce Bennett take full accountability for the way they mistreated me, cheated me out of three thousand dollars, with my trade in and overcharged me two thousand or more dollars for the junk they sold me which has not worked properly from day one. I want full monetary compensation, for the monies I was cheated out of, I want the 07 Forrester taken back, all inquiries removed from all three credit reporting agencies, and I want an apology. The lease also needs to be addressed.

[redacted] came to the dealership looking for a used Frontier... we did not have any vehicles that they ([redacted] was with her boyfriend) were interested in EXCEPT

Review: My complaint [redacted], was INCORRECTLY CLOSED.

I never received any offer, adjustment, payment, refund, or return of merchandise from [redacted] never contacted me and never resolved my original complaint.

They owe me for the [redacted] which was in my vehicle when traded in, and they promised to remove it, and return it to me - they did not. After filing the complaint, I expected to receive some communication from BRUCE BENNETT NISSAN. They never communicated with me. I expected to receive an offer to settle this. They did not communicate with me.

It is INCORRECT and INAPPROPRIATE to close my complaint without a resolution.

PLEASE DO NOT CLOSE MY COMPLAINT UNTIL WE HAVE SOME TYPE OF OFFER FROM BRUCE BENNETT NISSAN.

As of today 4/24/2015, I have no offers from [redacted].Desired Settlement: Payment for the [redacted] VEHICLE RECOVERY SYSTEM.

Review: After purchasing a [redacted] with this dealer ship I have had continuous problems. The first issues began leaving the dealership. While driving the [redacted] home the driver window got stuck down and had to be pushed back up. A few days later the car ran out of gas at a quarter tank on my way to work.I was able to speak with [redacted] he arranged to have the issues fixed.-On the way to bring the car to be serviced with my daughter I turned the fan on and glass started shooting out of the vents at my daughter and myself!.By time I got to the dealers I was in tears. They did replace the windshield as well...Couple weeks forward after a very rainy day there was a puddle on the front passenger side of the car I sent [redacted] a pic of about 3 inches of water and a video of the sponge under the carpet pouring water. They replaced the windshield again...I noticed the horn wasn't working sometime after the windshield was replaced when I took car for a oil change I asked they looked at the horn and the car. I had a leaking axle that I had to have replaced and what concerned the mechanic the most is that when checking the fuse for the horn he noticed the hole fuse box is shattered, cracked missing pieces, wires stripped and in a knot and afraid of a fire !! Now im driving with a gallon on water in my car because I don't no what else to do ! These are the most major problems. This was my first time buying a car I thought the sales man was friendly but he also ending up stealing $100 from my down payment of $3600 and marked $3500 as my down payment. I was reimbursed the $100.I asked the sales man if he would put his family in the car during paperwork and said absolutely but I ended up learning the car wasn't even properly looked over at the time before sale by the dealership. After all these issues I believe I was sold a Lemon.I Do Not want to be afraid to drive and have to worry about a fire or the safety of my family and myself!Desired Settlement: At this point I think this car has far to many problems. I would like the dealer allow me to trade in the car with out issue or return my down payment and take back the car.

Review: In May 2014, I traded in my [redacted] at Bruce Bennett Nissan. During the trade-in process, Bruce Bennett Nissan did not want to compensate me for a Nissan vehicle tracking recovery system (akin to [redacted], but a Nissan brand). I specifically requested that they either compensate me $1100, or remove the old system from the [redacted] and deliver it to me. Bruce Bennett Nissan did neither.Desired Settlement: I would like Bruce Bennett Nissan to either return my NISSAN VTR system or compensate me for the item for $1100.

Review: I purchased a used 2008 BMW 528xi from Bruce Bennett Nissan. When I first looked over the car at the date of purchase I noticed the brake rotors looked warped, so at this time I brought it to the attention of the sales person. He stated the brakes pasted the safety standards of CT and did not need further attention. I purchased the car anyway. After a week of driving I began to hear a loud humming noise from the power steering pump while turning, the brake fluid light was on, shaking of the steering wheel and a cracking noise coming from the transmission in the front of the car when I first started the car. I also noticed hard shifting at a complete stop when letting off the brake. The dealer had the car for one week. They repaired the power steering issue. I picked up the car and the dealer stated the issues have been addressed. I sat in the car and the brake fluid light was still on. I didnt even drive the car out of the dealer and I left the car for another week. Went back to pick up the car for a third time, brake fluid light was off and the transmission was still having issues and the steering wheel still was shaking when applying the brakes. I again brought my concern to the dealer since I believed the brakes and the tranmission crack was a saftey and a maintenance concern and as I was told that the dealer would not addresses issues that were not maintenance or saftey issues within the 60 day warranty. They claimed that they do not provided extended warranty on my used car as well. I brought the car for a second option to another BMW dealer and they found a leak in the tranbsmission oil pan and confirmed the brake rotors were warped. Nissan claimed they would help me but it seems like they are and have procrastanated on my concern to pass the 60 day warranty period from date of purchase. I was also told by a used car manager quote on quote "You are shopping around to find issues with the car and the dealership will not pay for anything further on the car" when I advised them of the issues.Desired Settlement: I would like them to fix all the issues with the car and provide me with an extended warranty on the vehicle. The reason I am requesting the issues to be resolved and an extended warranty on the car is because I have become inconfident with the vehicle with my experiences so far.
