Bruce Landes Surveyor Reviews (6)

[redacted] Dear Ms***:lt appears that the initial estimate was lower because it was estimated as a resurvey of a typical lot in a subdivision, however this did not apply because the property is an older Baltimore city lot.In reviewing the property and the adjacent properties, it was necessary to include a resurvey of the subject lot, the adjacent lots and a portion of the block to clarify the lines in question, therefore we estimated the survey time to be between to hours.Thank you for your further assistanceSincerely,

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] I do not know what the two mini paragraphs is suppose to meanWhen I initially contacted Bruce Landes Surveyor to which I had received the first quoted price for service; I explained everything with regard to age of house, no *** markers present, that I did not know when or what had been surveyed in the pastIt was stipulated to me that was the purpose of the service and the pricing at that timeNow when I contacted them to go forward; they are back pedaling stating the ridiculous amount in money in comparison to the first quote for the same product/servicesThis company was unwilling to honor their price or mutually make a reasonable resolutionIt is coincidental to me that with the rise of the house selling market and maybe increase in their business from when I received the first quote; that this company appears to be engaging in price gouging.
With regard to the late response of the business; it neither stipulates an action/resolution nor is clear and concise about what they would do to resolve this issue in layman terms.
Therefore there is not a resolution that I can either accept or reject based on the content of the company's response.
Regards,

Review: I contacted this company (Fall 2014) regarding price quote for [redacted] Survey to which I received this email:

Dear Ms. [redacted],

This is [redacted] from Bruce Landes Surveyor's office and I am following up on the price quote you requested through homeadvisor.com. We can locate your property corners, set 18" rebar rods on any corners missing markers and put 6" landscape nails and pin flags at 20- 50 intervals along the side and back property lines for $615.00. If you would like a plat or paper copy of your survey showing the exact location of you house, driveway, sidewalk, sheds and any other improvements to the property, it will cost an additional $150.

Thanks for the inquiry, we look forward to hearing back form you.

Sincerely,

Bruce Landes, Surveyor
