Bruce Titus Ford Reviews (38)

I just spoke with [redacted] and she agreed to meet with me at the store to discuss resolution to the matter on the 4th of JanuaryWe definitely want to make sure she is satisfied and I'm confident we can resolve this swiftly once we have met Best regards, Matt S [redacted] GM Bruce Titus Port Orchard Ford

This complaint is resolved with the customer and they will contact their son to let him know

On 10/20/their Internet sales person Tiffany sent an email quote containing a price on a few different F250/trucks they had in stock after an extensive phone call laying out my needsWhen I called her that evening to arrange a sale she was leaving but after collecting my details told me a sales manager would return my callThey never didThe following day I called to arrange a test drive and purchaseTiffany wasn’t working, and the salesperson I spoke with quoted me a different price ($4k price increase)After he gave me various excuses, I asked to speak with the Sales managerSalesman took my particulars and said he’d have the manager call meAfter waiting two hours, I called back and insisted to be put on hold until the sales manager could take my callEventually “Keith” took my callHe went to great detail to explain the complex pricing algorithms and models they use to adjust pricing etc etcbut refused to honor the price Tiffany quoted me, claiming “prices change all the time”After I explained I had a quote (with no disclaimer regarding expiration of pricing), that I wanted to execute the sale the day prior, and no one called me back, he said he’d talk to the Sales Director and call me right backOver an hour later, another sales person called, only to tell me the same switched price Keith gave meI said this wasn’t acceptable and asked to speak with KeithSalesman tried to “I’ll tell him to call you...” but insisted to hold until Keith took my callKeith eventually picked up and continued to explain why they couldn’t sell it to me at that price or they would lose money, after acknowledging that was the price the previous dayHe assured the me the general manager would contact me MondayHaving cash in hand, Monday was to lateWhile continuing my search hours later online, [redacted]  had the exact same truck (stock number) listed on their website for the Bruce Titus Ford in Port Orchard, AT EXACTLY THE PRICE TIFFANY QUOTED ME! I called the number listed in the ad, got a salesperson who confirmed the price on [redacted] was indeed correct So here’s the deal fellow car shopperThis dealership is practicing classic bait and switch as defined by the Federal Trade CommissionThey are advertising a price that doesn’t give them a margin their comfortable with, but they want to draw the customer to their dealership, and they anticipate you’ll need financing or have a trade in that they can utilize to generate revenue on from you and improve those marginsA cash buyer like me with no trade in created a unusual challenge for them, and in this case, they chose to deny me the advertised and quoted priceYou can believe on principle I’ll continue to pursue this elsewhere with the appropriate authoritiesThere are additional details regarding my interactions with the dealership that I’ve omitted for efficiency as they offer no substantive value to the spirit of this review In the mean time, I located another dealer online ( [redacted] Ford in Lynnwood) who while employing the same marketing tactic, was good enough to honor their very aggressive priceIn return I did my best to facilitate the transaction to their best advantageThey were efficient, sensitive to my needs, and worked as a team to get me in and out with my fantastic new truck as quickly as possible***, ***, ***, and *** in financing were great to my Wife and I

Port orchard Ford is sending a check for $to this customer for diagnostic charges incurred on invoice number [redacted] This check will be mailed to the customer

We have done a number of different direct mail pieces with our marketing vendor and this one seemed to not go over as well with our salespeople and prospective customersWe did have our attorney look over and approve the mailer prior to sending itNeedless to say, we will not be using this piece, in particular and regret any confusion on the part of Mrs*** It appears that Mrs [redacted] read the disclosures and did the math on the value of her Explorer according to a vehicle that would be included in the programIn the same disclosure; it states that “vehicles with an average of 15,miles or less per year on the vehicle odometer may be excluded from MSRP Vehicle Incentive Program.” In addition, it states that “We reserve the right to exclude certain vehicles from trade value program” While the mail house has all of the information regarding Year, Make and Model, they do not have mileage information on specific vehiclesUnfortunately, a with only 32,does not meet the criteria and is subsequently excluded from the program Mrs [redacted] asked in her resolution for us to; “Modification/discontinuance of an advertised claim” and that is what we intend to do

We recently received a mailed flyer from the Bruce Titus Ford dealership in Port Orchard WA stating: "We will pay you the $33,original base price for your Ford Explorer less adjustment for mileage [redacted] and repairs." *($per mile) The current mileage on our vehicle is 32,miles32,@ - $= $15,$33,- $15,= $17,The vehicle is in excellent condition and never in any accidentsWhen we took the vehicle in for minor repairs we also presented the staff with their promotional flyer, they offered us $3,for the vehicle !! This is obviously VERY DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING ie Bait and Switch

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Mr [redacted] came in to set up an appointment with service and was informed at that time that there would be a diagnosis charge to determine the cause of the concerns and that once the cause was properly identified we could verify that his extended coverage would apply to the repairs The initial diagnosis charge was based on one hour per compliant totaling hours at $an hour, plus tax If the diagnosis performed lead to parts that were covered under his extended service contract, that in fact his total participation in the repairs that were covered would be his deductible of $ If for some reason the items that were diagnosed were not covered by his extended service contract, he would be financially responsible for the diagnosis time This is clearly identified on the 1st page of the customer’s extended service contract under “Your Obligations” (see attached) that the customer is responsible for authorizing and paying for any teardown or diagnosis time needed to determine if your vehicle has a covered breakdown If it is subsequently determined that the repair is needed due to a covered breakdown then We (the service contract) will pay for this part of the repair If the failure is not a covered mechanical breakdown then you are responsible for this charge Mr [redacted] did not and has not brought his vehicle into our service department for the appointment that was set up to determine the cause of the concerns, therefore we have not had the chance to confirm the customer issues and address the items with the extended service contract to verify coverage of the repairs Even though the customer may have brought in paperwork stating the these items had an issue, as the repairing service shop we need to confirm the components identified on the paperwork are in fact failed and then we can determine what coverage applies from the customer extended service contractMr [redacted] 's resolution is to get a refund, however we don't show that we have received any money from himIf he can provide a receipt, we will refund him 100%

We recently purchased a Ford Mustang on May 30, from the Ford Dealership in Port Orchard, Washington I brought the car back to my home, which is in Everett, Washington I started to detail my car and a noticed several items wrong with the car that I was not able to see when I first bought the car First of all, I am not a mechanic, so I rely on good faith from the dealership, especially when the sticker on the car says” certified inspection” The items that I noticed that were wrong were as follows The driver side of the seat was missing a shield on the bottom left hand corner of the seat The second thing was the rear defroster is not working because of a loose wire on the left-hand side of the window It was not attached to the rear window The third thing which should have definitely been noted on your mechanics inspection was that the back window on the canvas was not properly attached around the window seam Water was leaking into the car from the right ha

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The contract provided states that I the owner am responsible for authorizing and paying for the teardown and diagnostic time in regards to the complaint at no point which it states that the dealership is the required party for diagnosticThe diagnostic was performed by [redacted] and discovered during routine inspections in which Bruce Titus was informed of and still attempted to charge 117$ xfor "diagnostics" up front before even verifying any of the information to be trueWhile documentation from [redacted] was providedAt no point did they tell me I would be required to pay up front on a warranty that I was charged 2,000$ extra for just to find out that It was basically useless because this establishment is choosing to prey on young military members Sincerely, [redacted]

If you're looking to get ripped off at another car dealership, you're in the right placeOut the door at $XX,XXX amount means that's my max for everything including tags, taxes, warranties, purchase price, etc The financial advisors words, "I through in a year bumper to bumper warranty and gap insurance so you'll be covered"What he failed to inform me was that I PAID for it, not covered by them as impliedI obviously failed to do my due diligence when signing the paperwork, but they were misleading, dishonest, and quick to get me to sign everything without allowing me ample time to review everything

Complaint: [redacted] I am not able to recall the notification that I was being recordedIm pretty sure MrR [redacted] understands Washington State law better than I doI wonder if it would be possible to get a copy of this recording? Sincerely, [redacted]

As a part of our business practice, we record most of our incoming phone calls and after reviewing Mr***’ call, here is what was found:
The first time Matt S*** spoke with Mr***, the salesperson, Keith, was on the phone with him and asked Matt to speak with him to assure Mr
*** that the price listed online, is the price that Mr*** would receive if he came in. Matt briefly spoke to Mr*** about the online price and assured him the online price was available to him.
During Matt’s conversation with Mr***, he stated that Keith had quoted him an out the door amount on a “Platinum” Explorer. After listening to the call, Mr*** was originally talking to Keith about the out the door amount on an Explorer “Sport” which was online for a little over $43,(after rebates) and the out the door would “roughly” be $47,700. It is hard for us to ever quote an out the door price when we aren’t talking about a specific unit due to the variation in vehicle prices.
When discussing with the team what happened after the call, Mr*** arrived at the store with his family and spent a significant time picking out the unit he would like to purchaseHe looked at three different vehicles ranging from the “Sport” model originally discussed, up to the “Platinum” modelHe selected one of the most expensive “Platinum” packages that wasn’t as aggressively priced on our website. As mentioned earlier, the price range of a particular model can vary drastically based on options and featuresAfter negotiations, Mr*** wanted us to include his tax, license and doc fee in the negotiated priceUnfortunately, the only items we can negotiate with customers are the price of the vehicle and the doc fee.
If Mr*** would still like to purchase a vehicle, if we are priced competitively in the market, we would love to earn his business. We hate to see people leave our store anything but completely satisfied
Please let us know if there is anything further we can do to resolve thisWe can negotiate on price and waive the doc fee, but the tax and license is something we have no control over
Best regards,
Daniel R***

On Sunday May 28th my mother (***) and I went to Bruce Titus Ford in Port Orchard as we had an appointment at 10:45amBeforehand we already worked with someone online advising them about what we want our financial situation, etc and they said don't worry come on in, so we didAwesome group of guys our experience from the beginning to end was amazing.Val (Finance Manager)came talked to us about our down payment options and monthly paymentWe told him what we could do and he then shook our hand and said "congratulations you're a new owner of a truck.".Again I asked Val and Jacob is this for real again they reassured us "YES , here's your keys congratulations!" So we drove off that day with a used Toyota Tundra then Tuesday comes they blow up my phone while I'm working when I finally get a chance I call them it's Val he talks to us about our credit I said to him we laid out our credit and financial situation before we had an appointment and you all still stated to come inHe

Recently went to Bruce Titus ford in port orchard, I approached them about my water pump needing to be replaced after I had received information that it was leaking and getting fluid all over my belts and that my rear differential pinion was going bad after I was keeping up with the maintenance and inspections, I have an extended warranty that was purchased through them with a 50$ deductible and the paperwork in hand from the shop that provided the evaluation and got quoted 400$ to even look at the car which was half of what the shop wanted to fix it, while the paperwork I have clearly defines that the water pump is covered under my warranty they wanted 400$ to evaluate it to "see" if it was covered when the paperwork clearly states it isAll in all I ended up having to front almost 1000$ out of pocket for repairs after paying 2000$ for the extended warranty bcause they wanted 400$ just to "see" if it was covered because they needed to pay their technicians for the time to look at it

When calling into our stores, before anyone answers the phone a recorded message notifies the caller that the call may be recorded for quality assurance purposes. The calls are used for training purposes and are reviewed with our employees, as necessary. Since the recordings are intended to be used for training purposes only, it is our policy that we don’t distribute them outside of the organization.
Best Regards,
Daniel R***
