Review: INQUIRED ABOUT A TIRE RIM FROM A REFERRAL FROM A AUTO PARTS STORE IN MALAGA NJ. THE MAN HAD HE CLAIMED USED BUT LIKE NEW SO I PAID FOR THE RIM $134.00 CASH EARLY SATURDAY APRIL 19TH 2014. WAS ASSURED HE WOULD CALL ME EARLY MONDAY, STATING HE WAS TOO BUSY TO DO IT SATURDAY,MY WIFE COULD COME IN AND WOULD INSTALL SAID RIM ON APRIL 21ST 2014 APPROX. 8;00 TO 9:00 AM. AFTER NOT HEARING FROM HIM I TRIED TO REACH HIM UNSUCCESSFULLY!! SO THIS NOON I HAD MY WIFE GO TO HIM GARAGE TO GET OUR MONEY BACK, EXPLAINING TO HIM WE COULD NOT WAIT AND BOUGHT ONE ELSE WHERE. HE REPLIED TAKE THIS RIM THERE ARE NO RETURNS! WE HAVE THE RECEIPT, AND IT DOES NOT STATE THIS FACT. ALSO SMARTLY REMARKED TO MY WIFE YOUR HUSBAND SHOULD OF JUST PAID A DEPOSIT. ALSO THE SAID RIM MY WIFE UNWILLINGLY TOOK WAS IN WORSE SHAPE THAN OUR WORN ONE, DUE TO BRAKE FAILURE.Desired Settlement: WANT TO RETURN THE TIRE RIM AND GET MY $134.00 CASH RETURNED TO ME....

Mr. [redacted] came to our company and ordered a rim for his wife's 07 Mustang. He was in here on a Saturday, did pay for it in full and was to come back on Monday to

pick up the rim.

As soon as the rim got here Mr. [redacted] was called to come pick it up. No one answered the phone so a message was left on an answering machine.

On Tuesday Mrs. [redacted] came in and said they no longer wanted the rim and wanted their money back. They had purchased a rim from someone else. It was explained

to Mrs. [redacted] that the rim was ordered in special. She then left with the rim. Two days later they came back and stated that the rim was the wrong rim and they wanted to

return it. However there is only 1 rim that fits that vehicle. Our parts department checked the rim, measured it and matched up with the rim on the vehicle. It was the correct

rim. So we refused to refund their money.

At this time Mrs. [redacted] started cursing at us because wew would not accept the rim back. If they rim woud have been wrong we would have excepted it back. But because

they went and bought a rim else where and the rim was special ordered.

Mr and Mrs [redacted] examined the rim before they took it so it was not damaged and was not worse than the one that it was replacing.

Mr and Mrs [redacted] stated that they could not reach anyone here. We have 3 phone lines and are open from 8am to 5pm.

I am rejecting this response because: For one I personally take offense for being lied to when I was promised to be called first thing that Monday morning following my order for a MATCHING tire rim so that they could mount it to my wife's car. My cell phone is alway's on as I work day and night hours, I guarantee no one called my cell.

When my wife went to inquire that Tuesday about the tire rim it was there and not a match as ordered, as for her allegedly cursing out the gentleman that's ridiculous and slanderous!

At this point they can have the tire rim back or I will just throw it away. I learned a hard lesson as the gentleman rudely conveyed to my wife,"that's what deposits are for". If anything let it be documented here so other consumers will know this, never fully purchase an unseen part. Just put a small deposit down on said item, to be assured the worse they can lose is the deposit.
