Review: The cashier offered me an ice luge for my party as I purchased and picked up a keg from his establishment. I went back the next morning to purchase a smaller one for $55.00 cash. This was Thursday July ** in 2013. After being told by another cashier that is was better to wait until closer to the party time to pick it up due to the heat wave. I asked when they were open unitl and told 9:00 pm. I picked up the ice luge around 8:45 pm loaded it into the car with my friends and brought it back to the party at my sisters in [redacted]. When the ice luge was set up I realized it was never carved and there was no way to use it. Thinking that they were now closed I chiseled the channels for the liquor myself taking me close to two hours. After calming asking for a refund on Saturday July ** while returning the keg, I was told I should bring it back. Obviously it was long melted and he continued to tell me it was my fault for not asking it to be chiseled. It is not an ice luge unless it is chiseled to do so. My entire purpose of purchasing an ice luge was to save the trouble of creating one myself. It was literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced after he admitted it was their fault and still would not give me the money back. I highly doubt they ever charge tax or ID customers because the purchase of the keg and the ice luge was both cash and I was never carded for my age.Desired Settlement: I would have liked my money back, but I would much rather like this business shut down for failing to accept responsibility and failure of state laws to ID those who appear to be close to underage.

In response to [redacted]'s complaint against us regarding the purchase of an ice luge is an unfortunate lack of communication. We sell blocks of ice that can be used for luges but we are not in the ice luge business. On rare occasions, upon request, we will carve a line in the ice as a friendly courtesy to the customer at no extra charge. [redacted] made no such request. I told him to call me if he needed anything else after he picked up the block of ice and that I would be leaving about 10 pm an hour later than normal store hours. If there was a problem I never received any phone calls. And if there was a dispute with the product why didn't he call the store first thing Friday and not wait till Saturday? As for him taking two hours to chisel through ice is ridiculous. It takes us only 5-10 minutes to carve 2 or 3 lines for the tracks in the luge. It's only frozen water.

[redacted]'s has been in business for over 50 years and prides itself in making customers happy. We accept all credit cards and also collect sales tax and ID our customers. [redacted] was certainly carded when he purchased the keg. I'm sure we can work out a reasonable settlement between us for the misunderstanding of the block of ice.
