Your reply. I despise those thieves at Bruno. I was new to Florida looking for an HVAC company and I answered one of their radio scam ads for a cheap up. The service man was just a salesman trying to push $8,000 worth of duct work, a new AC, condensers, filters. UV lights and adding frills that were not needed. It's three years later and the AC is working fine. There was nothing wrong with the duct work. The unit was serviced and cleaned and continues to run.
STAY AWAY FROM BRUNO! They are liars, thieves and subhuman.

Review: On May [redacted], 2015, I, [redacted] of residence [redacted], hired Bruno Heating and Air Conditioning to install 4 ductless Thermospace AC units and a compressor. After extensive research online, I stumbled across Bruno's company and decided to hire him because he seemed highly qualified to install these types of units. He even mentioned that he worked directly for [redacted] and installed units like these often. On the [redacted] of May, Bruno came to my residence and installed the aforementioned units. The installation took him 2 days. After the installation was complete, I paid him $3,000 in full. That day, he left without connecting a vital pump for one of the units in the basement and told me he would come back to connect it. As I was turning on the units to tests them, I noticed that only one of the units was barely working to capacity. The other two were just blowing out hot air, which is not what a properly installed AC unit should be doing. I couldn't even check the fourth unit because the pump was not connected. I immediately contacted Bruno that same day to let him know the problems that I was having with my AC units. His response was that he was on his way upstate with his family & that he would be coming back on Thursday to take a look at the system. I told him that was okay because I understood his situation. He called me back to let me know that he was going to come on Wednesday (5/**/2015) instead of Thursday, which was great because the temperature outside was starting to warm up. Instead of showing up on Wednesday, he fabricated this whole story about him being pulled over and his car being booted on the side of the highway. At first I believed him, but after dealing with his track record of lies and unreliability, I came to a conclusion that his story was false. He then said he was coming on Saturday 5/**/2015 around 8AM. At 8AM I contacted him and he decided to tell me that he wouldn't be able to come because he was stuck at work. He ended up coming Sunday 05/**/2015. He checked the units and the compressor and concluded that he needed some type of part, but because he couldn't communicate properly in English, he had to go to a HVAC supply store to ask them about the name of the part. He also claims he put additional freeon in the compressor unit. On 06/**/2015, I had Bruno speak to a representative from Thermospace. After he got off the phone with them, I called him back to find out if he diagnosed the issue and what he told me was that Thermospace employee stated that the linesets I had were too long which is why the units weren't working. I called Thermospace myself and the employee stated to me that he told Bruno that he needed to check the freeon level. Bruno then responded and said he didn't put any freeon, which contradicts what he told me on 05/**/2015.At my wits end, I had to pay to receive a second opinion from another HVAC technician on Saturday 06/**/2015. This technician came and diagnosed the problem, telling me there was a freeon leak in the unit, which is what the Thermospace employee had suggested to Bruno. I had this HVAC technician call Bruno to speak to him to find out what tests he did to try to diagnose the problem and Bruno's response was "I do so many job and I can't remember." After the proper diagnose from the new technician, he advised me that Bruno has to recover the refrigerant, pressurize the system, run it for 24 hours and then check for leaks. Subsequently, I told this to Bruno and he said no worries that he was going to come on 06/**/2015 to do as the other HVAC technician had recommended. On 6/**/2015, Bruno was supposed to come at 2PM. I messaged him to find out if he was still coming and didn't get a reply until 6PM in which he said that he forgot his phone at home. He also said that because of the rain he would come on Monday instead. On 06/**/2015, I messaged him and he said he would be coming in a hour. An hour passed, two, three, still no reply. I tried messaging him again and he did not reply. The weather outside is getting extremely hot during the day now that summer is approaching. Prior to installing these units, I sold all the Window AC units that I had in my house to be able to scrape together some money to get the ductless AC installation. My elderly mother who was suppose to retire was even working overtime to get the money together. Now she is suffering in the house because it gets so hot during the day and the night. She can't even cook meals because the stove and oven make the house even hotter. On two occasions, I nearly had to take her to the ER because of complications from the temperature of the house. My brother is developing skin rashes because our house isn't very well ventilated and the heat is irritating him.On June **, I had to hire a new HVAC contractor to clean up the mess that Bruno made. When he came to the house, he inspected Bruno's work and saw that there were holes in the pipes connected to the AC compressor causing freeon to leak out, faulty and unprofessional welding, live electrical wires that were exposed and hanging outside the unit. He also noted how sloppy and inconsistent Bruno's work was.Bruno is highly unreliable and the classic example of lazy, scheming con artist. He was so eager to do the job, but after he got paid he became a hassle to get a hold of. Time after time, he would make up these very weird excuses as to why he wasn't coming to my house to take care with the units. Sometimes, I would never even be able to reach him at all. He made himself sound so reliable at first, but working with him has been a nightmare. He's made so many excuses for his work. He even went as far to say that the unit I bought was the problem. Bottom line, if you want a good and reliable technician to do your HVAC work, stay far away from Bruno's Heating and Air Conditioning as possible.Desired Settlement: The new HVAC contractor quoted me $1,600 to fix everything that Bruno had done wrong and finish the remainder of the job. This $1,600 included finding the source of the leak by removing the copper pipes on the outside of the house, welding the holes in the pipes that were causing the freon leakage, fixing the faulty, exposed electrical wires, the cost of more freon for all the ductless AC units and running the copper pipes properly and neatly on the outside of the house.I would like this refund.
