Review: On April 22, 2015 I called Bryant & Stratton college registrar’s office to get help having my transcript forwarded to Cardinal Strich University (CSU) had previous gone online per Bryant and Stratton instruction to a website to order my transcript, however I was informed by the website that I did not have a transcript and that I should call the university and discuss with them.
I left a voice mail message on [redacted] phone on April 22, advising her that I had gone onto the website paid the $4 as I was instructed to do in order to get my transcript; only to find out that I had no transcript. I explained that I was trying to get into CSU’s fall semester and that I need my transcript to complete my application.
I waited one week for a return call which I never received. I called back and again received her voice mail. I left a message stating that I thought it was unprofessional not to return someone phone calls. I asked her return my regarding my transcript and explained again what I needed. I also explained that this happened to me before when I applied to Milwaukee Area Tech College (MATC). At that time a letter was sent to MATC explaining that I did not have a transcript. I asked her to do the same in this case and send a letter to CSU.
Another week went back with no call back. This time when I contacted the school I asked to speak with the person over Jenny Wiencek. My inquiry was met with some apprehension, but I was transferred to voice mail. I left a message explaining my situation. I felt that this situation would get resolved and that the information need would be sent to CSU. That wasn’t the case.
I received an email from CSU stating that they were still waiting to receive my transcript from Bryant & Stratton. I reply back to CSU updating them on my situation and asked if they could assist me. I was told to keep trying to get the information requested.
On May 28th I took off work and went to campus to get this situation resolved. Upon arriving at Bryant & Stratton College I asked if Jenny in the Registrar’s office was in, I explained that I had left several messages on her voice and that I had not received a call back. The receptionist offer some excuses as to why Jenny had not returned my phone.
I was directed by the receptionist to the “learning Center” part of the college in hopes that they would be able to help me. I spoke with Jeremy who talked me through everything I had already done. I Took over the conversion and informed of my situation. He called Jenny’ office s and received her voice mail he left a message explaining my situation and what I needed her.
I finally, received a call from Jenny. She left a voice mail on my cell phone stating that she had called me back. She informed me that “all I have on record with them is a certificate of completion in the Medical Assisting program”. She asked that I call her back and let her know if they would be helpful.
I email her back the next day with address to CSU and again asked for a letter stating that I did not have a formal transcript to be sent to them. To date (June 12, 2015) I have not heard back from Bryant and Stratton. I received today (June 12, 2015) an email from CSU advising me that my application for enrollment will be withdrawn if they don’t get the information request by June 17.
Please help me with the unfortunate situation I find myself in. I’m only requesting that a letter be sent to CSU informing them that I don’t have a formal transcript through Bryant & Stratton and that I only received a certificate of completion.
I don’t understand why this simple request had taken almost two months to complete and why I needed to get you involved in the situation.
Thank in advance for your help in the matter.
[redacted]Desired Settlement: I need to have a letter sent to Cardinal Strich University by June 17, stating that I don't have a formal transcript thorugh their school.

Good afternoon,I have attached an email (see below) sent to Ms. [redacted] from our Registrar at the Wauwatosa Campus of Bryant & Stratton College. There are not official transcripts since she only took a class for MS Word at our Professional Skills Center 9PSC) which no longer is operating in our market. She did have some of her skills evaluated at the PSC but there is no credits for this evaluation. Ms. [redacted] was never enrolled in the college which is why there are no transcripts. Additionally, the show no record of Ms. [redacted] signing on to the parchment systems and paying for transcripts. The Registrar, Ms. [redacted] has emailed Ms. [redacted] directions on what she needs to do in order for us to release any information to CSU. Because of FERPA laws we cannot release anything until we have a written request from Ms. [redacted].Finally, is Ms. [redacted] can show proof of payment to the parchment system, the college will refund her $4.00. If there are any other questions or concerns, please contact me directly thought this email or at [redacted]Best regards,[redacted]Market Business Office DirectorBryant & Stratton College Good Afternoon [redacted],
I am the registrar at Bryant and Stratton’s Wauwatosa
Campus. I received a voicemail from you twice regarding a transcript
request. I did return your call after I received the first voicemail at
the number you provided to me of [redacted]. I indicated on the
voicemail that we did not have a request in Parchment for transcripts for you
and that I did not have transcripts for you because you were here when we had
the Professional Skills Center. I also received another voicemail that I
had not returned your call and also returned that voicemail at the same number
of [redacted]. I left another message on that voicemail
indicating the same information. I have no record of any emails
from you at all. I have also checked any undeliverable or spam
email and found nothing there. I did not get a request to send a letter
out to Cardinal Stritch (CSU) in either of the voicemails you left as
well. I did receive a voicemail from Patrick in our Career Services Department
that you had stopped in on a day I was scheduled to be off. I also
followed up with him. I have made every effort to return your calls and
have left multiple voicemails answering the questions you had.
Unfortunately, due to FERPA regulations, I would not have been able to release
any information to a third party without your written consent.
I have pulled a report from Parchment and there is nothing
in the system that I can find showing that you ordered a transcript directly
through my request inbox. I have attached the Request for Educational
Verification if you would like me to send any documents I have on file to you
or a third party. I would be happy to email, fax, or send those via mail
to you once that release is signed, dated, and returned to me. If you
would like all of the documents I have available in your file, you would just
need to check off the box that indicates Other and write in: Entire file.
If you would like this faxed or sent to Cardinal Stritch, I
would need them included as a recipient with the address and to whom it should
be sent attention to.
Otherwise, I can send the file to you and you can distribute
that directly to the appropriate person at CSU.
Generally, we are required to keep files 7 years. The
last piece of correspondence in the file is dated May of 2008.
Regards,
Registrar
